This is where the fans are let down. The Eddie Hearn 'eliminator' route which is depriving the fans of good domestic match ups and it is an absolute disgrace. Sky should be embarrassed as well.

Look at the lightweight situation. Why is Mitchell not fighting Coyle, Campbell, Crolla, Burns etc. Plenty of money to be made and the losers can come again. The winners are the ones who go to world honours. Instead they are sent up pointless eliminator and final eliminator fights and then get found out when they get their opportunity. Instead we are made to wait until next summer for Coyle v Campbell when it should have happened already.

Eddie Hearn is a cheapskate to be honest. I'm surprised that still so many don't see through him. I'm no Frank ****** fan but he does but young guys in with each other- Degale v Groves, BJS v CEJ and who won the purse bids for Ryder v BJS?! It wasn't Hearn

Did he really 'rock' him though...

I was at the fight and have since watched it back, I didn't think Eubank Jr was majorly rocked at all throughout the 12 rounds... not even in the 2nd round which BJS mentioned in his after fight interview.

It's not Eddie's fault, it's the board. For example Billy Joe has been hogging the British title for a ridiculously long time, there's been no attempt to force fights on him and for some idiotic reason they allowed Eubank Jr (who ducked Blackwell) to jump the queue and fight for it.

Why was the British title at stake for the Fury - Chisora fight? Tyson repeatedly said he'd drop the title immediately if he won it, which makes the title lose a lot of value and affects its reputation.

The board ultimately are in control and time and time again **** it up.

IMO speed would be the main factor if the two fought and jnr is faster

    Ryder is technically better.

It's a great domestic level fight, but would team Eubank take it?

Not sure - surely it would make more sense for Eubank to chase the Blackwell fight who's next in line for the British now BJS will be vacating?

I've said it a few times, Blackwell for me is probably the most underrated fighter in the UK. They've also sparred numerous rounds so know a good bit about each others game.

Either way, from what I've seen of Jnr he is a bit of a rough diamond. The physical abilities are there, but there is still a lot of work to be done and he needs to gain more experience. Fights against the likes of Ryder and Blackwell are exactly the type of fights he needs.

Been a fan of Blackwell since I first saw him dumped in the deep end against Murray.

I agree a fight between Blackwell and Eubank is logical and what's Eubank needs. I'd like to see Eubank keep fighting at this level instead of reverting back to the street sweeper level.

I wasn't sold on Eubank prior to his fight with Saunders but whilst I had him losing 116-112 I think he, if trained right could end up going further than Saunders.

Agreed - the loss could be a blessing in disguise really. But that's whether Eubank and those around him realise what adjustments/improvements needs to be made, stop seemingly being 'yes men' etc - the way he spoke to Ronnie Davis in the corner was wrong.

Yep and whilst I love a Chris Eubank sr as a fighter and character he should not be the number 1 in his sons corner. Having said that from what I heard going on in the corner I thought he gave better advice than Ronnie Davis.

Give the man a good team then he can go far. Fair play to Saunders though, good performance but I can't see him beating Korobov or Lee to be honest.
