Then why with certain fighters that you don't like do you select negative traits for your "appreciation threads?"

Yet you complain here when someone contributes to your thread and you don't like their legitimate post.

He punched himself out and showed poor stamina being completely gassed against Rubio so much that an awkward temple shot removed Lemieux from his senses... Against Alcine he got beat to the punch and looked like his best assets no longer existed.

Lemieux thus far is all hype. Rosado is highly overrated too and not near the top 10, so an impressive Lemieux victory over him tomorrow doesn't do much to change what I think of him. That is that he fights in an entertaining style that has made people anoint him as being great despite having proven it against... Fernando Guerrero and...? (I'll wait)

I've never had any negative comments in any of my appreciation threads except for Floyd, who you have to admit is quite divisive, and I've bashed Floyd many times on this site and it would look inconsistent on my part if I acted like I loved him, I liked him when he was younger.

As far as the response goes "Exposed" seems to like to bash anybody I like that has one or two losses, it had happened before, so I responded, because I think he likes pointing iout when people have been "Exposed".

Have you watched the full Torres & Guerrero fights? There's quite a bit of background on how his conditioning improved from the Anber era to what it is now with Ramsey and the new team around him. Making weight is not as hard as it used to be and he spars several 12 rounders in camp vs 4 to 7 rounders in the past.

I'm glad some credible posters are putting him down as all hype. Either they'll be right and stay true to their credibility or... I'll be grinning all night and bumping my David Lemieux : The Long Road to Middleweight Greatness thread from early 2011.

    War Lemieux. :bbb

  9. I have Rosado winning this. I think Jesse Reid’s influence could be dramatic if the BKB bout against Vera is any indication. I know the format is considered a bit of a joke by some, but Rosado’s boxing in the pocket was awesome.

Lemieux either needs to get him out early, show dramatically improved stamina over 12 and/or cut Rosado on the brow. There are some odds having Rosado the 2/1 underdog which I think is a bit silly.

Should be a really exciting bout!

He was very hyped if that's what you mean. But GGG is all substance and has proven there's legitimate reason for the hype. Yet he still has haters in abundance.

Whereas, Lemiuex hadnt done the things GGG had done on the B+/A-/A level.

He's only now fighting his 3rd B level fighter, let's see how he handles that tonight before we compare him to GGG.

BUT....on an aside.....he is only 25 yo. And made some rookie mistakes as CST80 clearly points out. Haters of Lemiuex disregard those rookie mistakes, but real fightfans see them as just that....mistakes. :think

Nice performance by Lemieux tonight. He didn't gas in the later rounds and was entertaining as usual. However, I don't think right now he has what it takes to beat GGG at the moment. While David has bombs in his fists like GGG, he doesn't have the other dimensions that GGG does have. You could never know though. :bbb

Rosado's skin failed him, but he was still able to counter Lemieux quite well at times. This fight shows a better counterpuncher with pop (and better skin ) is all that's needed to topple DL.

Rubio has all of the above and would stop DL again. :deal

I agree he needs a few more legit fights before that happens
