Maybe Calzaghe would have been willing to drag Cory Spinks up to SMW and give him a crack at his beloved WBO strap, he could get a UD win there. But no way would he even get in the ring with Michael Spinks, let alone stand any chance of beating him if he actually dared face him.

Why do you think Calzaghe wouldnt? Is it because the SMW champ today hasnt been willing to go up?
As soon as there was a LHW champ offering Calzaghe a straight shot, he went up and took it

It was his awkwardness that beat old leg Holmes, not smarts. If Spinks was smart he wouldn't of stood right in front of Tyson.

BTW Calzaghe's chin is pure steel and granite. Spinks might get a flash KD, but he would be more likely to KO Tyson in a rematch than Ko Calzaghe.

Am I reading this right? Are you saying that Hopkins fought Dawson before he fought Calzaghe and that Hopkins schooled Dawson? I have to be reading this wrong.

He clearly meant Windy Wright. Do you people have to be spoon fed?

Tarver. Calzaghe beat Hopkins after Hopkins schooled Tarver (I know there was the Winky fight between)

I noted with Dawson, he was the fighter who went up from SMW when Calzaghe was champ, and faced several old LHWs who were no where near the Calzaghe level and then after Calzaghe retired went back to SMW

I think Tarver vs Joe would have been interesting.

It doesn't matter that Joe beat Hopkins who'd beaten Tarver.

Also, Joe only scr*ped by Hopkins, and Tarver's weight loss could have been a factor in his defeat to Hopkins.

Your second point, implies that Dawson avoided Joe.

And Zaggots can't accept that no one really cares about Calzaghe.

If everyone just pretends to agree with the Calzaghe apostles will the threads stop?
