Anyone have any examples? Someone who was a heavy underdog, and traveled to the champ's country/hometown, and beat them decisively in front of a hostile crowd?

That was a particularly humbling defeat. Kell's taken a lot of flak on the boards over the course of his career.

Was gonna say Maidana vs Broner but then remembered that the fans in attendance wanted Maidana to win and really enjoyed it.

not a big shock, but heiland was 6/1 according to bookmakers to beat macklin in Dublin,

ricky burns lost his comeback fight to zlaticerin (sp?) who was an underdog, though again had a good chance

    neither were champions though

Going back a bit Prescott was given 0 chance by a lot when he KO'd Amir Khan

I seem to remember a certain Adonis Stevenson being a rather big underdog against Chad Dawson

And finally Frank Buglioni was a massive favourite when he lost to Sergey Khomitsky badly
