How hard do you think Thurman hits?

Guy is of course a big puncher but how would you compare him to say a Miguel cotto in terms of power?

I would say 147 Cotto was probably equal in punching power with Todays Thurman .

I would say One-time is a solid puncher , he can pretty much stagger any current WW today .

He didn't "nearly take Floyd out" lol he caught him by surprise though. Floyd was off balance and had to quickly regain composure, definitely stunned but not close to being taken out.

I don't see todays version of Floyd or Manny beating or even surviving 12 rounds with Thurman .

Its inenvitable , the young lions will take over .

 

I mostly agree with this too. They're too old now.

 

Thurman gets beat down by Pac, but he could also catch Pac and take him out.

Zero chance he beats Floyd.

 

He didn't regain composure . The very next round he came back out barely engaging and clearly still bothered by that 1 punch . It was all footwork and defense trying to stay away from Chino .

He still was not fully recovered . That bell saved him from further punishment and a potential stoppage loss.

Floyd was nearly taken out .

 

Current Floyd is not beating someone like Thurman today .

He would be way too overwhelming for Floyd IMO

 

If Maidana had been allowed to wear his preferred gloves, he most likely would have had a knockout victory over Floyd.
