How do you see the Lee v Korobov match going?
(Since you're in the biz yourself and in the same weight class your opinion has to carry some weight.)

Sure why would I not get excited about a potential Dublin star in place of some English boxer who has a bigger mouth than ability.:patsch

Saunders isnt garbage, very good quick southpaw boxer with solid jab and timing, puts his shots together really well at times. His skills are most certainly world class imo, the problem is his lack of strength and punching power, along with his tendency to fade late. They might hold him back at world level, but maybe we haven't seen the best of him yet.

Saunders has proven hes a British/European standard fighter at best, whereas Lee who Len rubbishes at every opertunity has mixed in world class. In comparsion to Lee saunders is garbage:deal

Not really a fair statement, Saunders has never lost, he's had a few close fights but he was still young and learning. I see potential in him. At least wait until he fights a world level fight before you come to that conclusion. I also think he would beat Andy right now, who's not in good form and could be past it. But Saunders and Lee seem to be around the same level now all the same.

In saying that Len's obsession with Lee is weird. He can't be taken seriously with his 'Andy is a danger to himself and should retire now' What makes it even more laughable is that this is a sport that has Shannon Briggs potential fighting Wlad Klitschko fighting soon, Roy Jones and James Toney still fighting, and yet Len is being a drama queen over a solid fringe contender in Lee having a few tough fights? Doesn't make sense and I think quite frankly he either has a vendetta against Lee or he's just plain trolling.

I do hope Lee puts it all together against Korobov mind you, really nice guy and he has shown glimmers of top class talent in the past. i hope he can put it all together and shut Len up once and for all, but I wouldn't count on it. Korobov is too good for him. I hope im proven wrong though, Andy has loads of heart and a good chin, he's one of our fighterswho made me a hardcore fan. Ill be cheering him on.

You saw my name on that post and the red mist came down and you started typing without thinking.....at least that's what I HOPE happened.

BJS is not only not "absolute garbage"...he is one of, if not 'the' smoothest, slickest pure boxers in the British Isles right now.

If you can't appreciate these skills then maybe it's time you followed some other sport?
As for comparisons withAndy Lee......I doubt Andy could hit Billy Joe on the ass with a handful of rice....

What's all this about " lens obsession with Andy Lee"
    business, paleface?

Is the rest of the spuds on here who are obsessed with him, BJ.
I'm the only one being realistic about Andy. He plateaued years ago...is going nowhere ....and takes far too many head punches ...facts, BJ, facts, just facts.

It's. A sad reflection on this place that only Puca and now to aLesser extent yourself pulled Marty up on his utterly ridiculous comment about BJS being "absolute garbage", yet there is a queue of posters waiting to bash me for speaking the truth about Lee. :hat :deal

Truth? Has Lee start speaking with a slur or something? Is he forgetting things? Showing any signs of being punchy? What truth are you speaking? That he takes too many punches? He doesn't really if ye think about it. John Duddy was someone who took too many punches.

Take your "concern" for Andy Lee's health and have a s.hite christmas with it.

Yeah and once Duddy got beaten by Chavez and realised he was never going to be top level, he had the good sense to???
    To do WHAT???
    To do WHAT MAC?

Andy plateaued years ago...is going nowhere.....and takes far too many head punches. I'm not stopping you from cheering him on, just telling it like it is on a boxing forum. Just calling it as I see it.
    Deal with it.

Andys best chance is to go for Korobov bald-headed from the first bell...force the pace to a level he is not comfortable with. Korobov may gas like McKewan did and this is Andys best chance.
A 'boxing' match will suit Korobov, with his golden amateur pedigree.
Go straight at him, and never let him alone. Also Straight punches...Korobov seems to throw mostly chopping hooks, so don't hook with him while he is fresh early on.
