I've just bought 2 tickets for the Morrison show this Sunday in Glasgow, mainly because I'm interested to see young joe ham & charlie Flynn making they're debuts. But I'd also heard that willie limond, David brophy & Jon slowey were all on the bill. But according to boxrec there is only slowey on there. Does anyone know ? Thanks
brophy and limond have pulled out and are no longer on the show. brophy is ill and limond fights chris jenkins in january for the british title.
Aah shame. Was looking forward to seeing brophy, think there's a strong possibility of seeing him in there with luke blackledge.. Had heard limond was fighting on the crolla bill so figured that's why he'd be off the bill. The tickets are 50's with buffet - the buffet any good you know?
i train alongside brophy mate and hes been struck with a bad flu for over a month now which has really hampered him , shame as hes been looking in great nick and hungry to crack on 2015 wil be a big year for him
I would have liked to have gone along to this also but two kids and two weeks before Xmas I thought shelling out £100 for two tickets is a bit steep. Would rather spend it on the kids to be honest. Compare it to paying £80 for two to watch Burns/Joshua/Simmons/Ogogo ....... But good luck to the boys making their debuts, Joe Ham, Stewart Burt and Chuck Flynn.
Joe Ham and Charlie Flynn are two very talented boxers who will make the transition to the pro game very easily imo. Both of these lads will be wanting pushed on quickly due to the amount of international experience they both have had. It will be good to see how Billy has stamped his mark on Jon Slowey too, Jon is talented and with Billy on his case and a move down to Super Bantam he will hopefully manage to get his shot at a domestic title.
Cheers lads sounds like a bit of fun! Yeh I'm interested to see how slowey looks. Exact same for ham & Flynn I'm excited for them
The way Jon is looking in the gym just now and his weight is better than ever I believe he could fight and win domestic titles next year at SBW given the chance
£50 a ticket! To be fair to Old Eck he's put the prices down. I went to one these shows a few years ago and it was £80. As for Wee Jonny Slowey, I see he's going back over old ground fighting Michael Ramabeletsa, right enough he gave him a close fight the first time at the Gorbals.
