Dare say this one would with it being a few lads debuts etc. I know Joe Ham has done over 100 tickets himself. What does the hotel hold by the way?
Joe ham done a 100 ? That's not bad going at all, I Met him the other day to collect mine & he seems a nice enough kid... Good luck to Hims all I can say. Though I do admit 50 is a little steep for a small hall show, Most small hall I've been to (VIP or Caldwell) have had a good domestic level fighter headlining in a 10 or 12rder
Think the hype around the boy ham is totally unjustified. He's absolutely average! Who are flynn and ham fighting at this joke on Sunday? 50 or 90 to watch that is an absolute disgrace.
It is what it is pal... Tbh Ham doesn't seem massively hyped, other than what he's done himself. Which in that case is what it's all about unless you've a massive hype machine behind you.
Lets be fair, you will no doubt get a really good view wherever your sat, your sat at a table, so no doubt can have a drink whilst watching the boxing, and get fed, and your getting great talents making their debuts, so sounds like decent value to me. Don't like fact I looked it tickets last week though and it was advertising Limond fighting, though it was known weeks ago he would fight Jenkins in January. Plus tbh would the current British/Commonwealth Champion have ever really planned to have fought on that bill?
I know what your saying mate, just think it's overpriced for whats on offer and a buffet you prob wouldn't feed to the dog lol. Seems unlikely limond would have ever been going to be on the bill either as you say.
I don't think 5 star hotel but **** down to you mate, you've been going to the wrong hotel to stay lol
Surely if Flynn is such a " great talent" he wouldn't be fighting a guy who has 4 victories in 74 fights? Seems a likeable enough lad but the funny interviews are a novelty which will wear off and his limited ability will be exposed fairly soon as he starts to step up. All IMO of course guys.
Of course it isa transitional period but that level if opponent us a farce. He was Dropped 3 or4 times during the Scottish last year as far as I'm aware so I guess they need to he careful what there doing.
I don't know if you are just trolling but I'm sure if you asked either Joe Ham or Charlie Flynn then they would both want better opponents but at the end of the say they are both young lads with long futures ahead of them and if they need a few fights against journeymen to help with their transition then I don't see the problem tbh. You are right about Charlie Flynn being dropped at the Scottish championships but he looked solid at the Commonwealth Games and there might have been other issues with him at the time of the Scottish ie illness or weight issues. If there are any issues with his chin then we will find out in due course but lets not try make too big a deal about it when he is starting out. I personally see both Joe Ham and Charlie Flynn boxing for the British titles within their first 3 years barring injury.
