Why should he have moved North to 175lbs do you think Roy would have gone to 175 lbs if he could have kept making 168lbs or Borney up to a whopping light heavy if he could have still been bullying guys @ middle earning money ???

Yea ok did YOU KNOW Palle refused to put on Kessler v Calzaghe @ the Parken stadium in Demmark because quite rightly he rejected the idea because the millennium stadium would attract more gate money ? Also do you KNOW that Shaw KNEW the Lacy V Calzaghe fight would have attracted more @ the MEN in Manchester when Lacy was having trouble filling bingo halls in Florida v Da Sandman ,,, yea of course THEY whoever THEY are know . :good

you have magically cured your inability to understand me all a sudden.

what were you saying earlier then? u were talking rubbish earlier, clearly.

about the above - point is joe wanted it in England, Kessler didn't mind because hes a warrior.
furthermore, joe didn't want a rematch with uninjured Kessler in Scandinavia.

joe doubly chickened out which was norm for him(he even tried to get out of fighting kess until mikkel picked up an injury), but to his credit he did beat Kessler in England that counts for a lot.

No earlier I couldn't understand what you were trying to say now I've read between the lines I can see what you were running with and to my knowledge Calzaghe beat Kessler in Wales not England and the rematch wasn't really a goer with Mikkel because Joe was having a bad time making 168 lbs hence the move up to 175 lbs to kick Borenards **** in his back yard .

yeah don't lie you were bull****ting early but now owned up to being able to read it.

yeah wales with protective 'carry me back to my corner' welsh refs -, that's even worse, nice one there.

having said that still a very decent defence for joe.

Why do you think nobody wanted to fight him?

Because he brought nothing to the table.

Hopkins and Roy fought in different weight classes.

He couldn't have expected to have fought those guys, whilst he was defending against WBO mando's at SMW.

He didn't do enough to get those fights.

Frank W has said it was hard to promote him to the U.S. public because he wouldn't fight over there.

Why do you think he had to fight Manfredo at 35?

yeah masked man, you got it the wrong way - joe mentioned a name of someone decent, and then in reality instead fought a subnational. AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN for ten years.

it wasn't because the top fighter didn't want to face joe! Joe just knew he could string out his die hard fans by mentioning their names and then going "FOOLED YOU" time and time again for a decade.

its no ones fault he sold calzaghe fans short all that time, but joe.

Welsh refs ??? Name me ONE WELSH REF who officiated in ONE of Calzaghes fights let alone " carried him back to his corner " and I will hold my hands up . Can't be too hard for you to do as by reading from what other posters are posting about you you've been here before , many times

yeah u know they were paid to support joe. countless stoppages when joe had barely landed a glove, what a joke you must feel trying to defend them.

the "carry me back to my corner" refs actually happened with clev, don't deny they happened.

It wasn't as simple as Bernard ducking Joe in 2002.

Joe was part of a three fight deal, and Bernard wasn't happy with King.

A fighter ducks someone out of a fear of losing to them.

In 2002, Bernard was 37, and Joe hadn't achieved much on the world stage.

But 6 years later, Bernard was 43, and Joe had achieved something. He'd finally gotten his well deserved respect and recognition, after destroying Lacy and unifying against Kessler.

At that point, Bernard was happy to fight him.

So if Bernard ducked him at 37 when Joe had done nothing, why would he have fought him at 43, when Joe looked great?

    It makes zero sense.

Regarding why Bernard and Roy never travelled, they didn't need to.

Their circumstances were different to Joe's.

Everything was set up for them in America.
