    Hardly one person besides myself has mentioned a rivalry that has carried over into the professional ranks...just ones that hypothetically could. :patsch :lol:

    Nice one. Lee has outlasted him in terms of relevance, too. Both had short primes and precipitous falls but McEwan's was really ssomething.

    Selimov beat Lomachenko in the amateurs but Lomachenko beat him in the WSB.... rivalry carried over into the semi-pros I suppose haha.

    Open to correction here but the last I heard of McEwan was that he was training himself and has fully embraced the gatekeeper role

    Yaegashi and Igarashi fought in the ams and I think Igarashi got the better of him a number of times, revenge was had in the pro's however

    They never fought in amateurs, but they had a "rivalry" in the sense that Vargas knew DLH - and loathed him.

    The story goes they were doing roadwork together and Vargas collapsed in the snow. Instead of helping, the Golden Boy laughed at him and ran past.

    Yes! Hell of a fight (Akira's revenge) - but not even FOTD. The headliner of that card was Shinsuke Yamanaka vs. Malcolm Tuñacao, and damn... :scaredas:
