    Billy, what's the likelihood of brophy - blackledge some point before the summer.

    Is it something that has been spoken about?

    Yeh I'm pretty sure Luke is of the same mind.
    Be a good fight for the pair, but would say it's best of being kept until there is something that can raise they're profiles on the line..

    Shame brophy is a scot as the bbbofc have surely got to see him ready for the English, same with Luke - just dependant on what cal smith is doing doesn't it.

    Would be a good British title eliminator tbh, as both Smith bros at SMW are fighting beyond that level now

    Smith hasnt made a single defence since winning it since his fight for it vacant with Tony Dodson in june 2013 fcuk me surley they should have stripped him by now

    Yep P Smith should defo of been stripped! He's having a laugh to b honest.


    I think brophy - blackledge would make a good eliminator to be fair yeah.. With the winner fighting C Smith or fielding for the vacant title.

    (Tho I don't see smith - fielding fighting as Hearn will want to keep they're 0's as long as possible)

    And I doubt buglioni would want anything to do with any of the above, neither would FW..

    In fairness pre Abraham fight Paul Smith offered to fight a couple of top 10 British SMWs In defences and the bbbofc would not sanction them as defences, furthermore Luke Blackledge was one of those people. Also the bbofc have not found him a suitable opponent, so don't really blame Paul, think he should have been awarded the Lonsdale belt outright as they could not find him an opponent.

    Correct me if I'm reading this we wrong. The reason you don't see Hearn putting Callum Smith or Rocky Fielding in with the winner of Brophy vs Blackledge is to protect there 0s or you don't see Fielding vs Smith happening ?

    No moog. Tobias Webb was offered the fight, but the board never sanctioned it because Webb was outside the top 20. Before that Smith was meant to fight Luke Blackledge last year on a FW bill, but they went their separate ways. Since then Smith has only wanted tune ups and World title fights. So in fairness he should be stripped for other fighters to fight for the vacant title.

    Why not Brophy v luke for the British or the Commonwealth as it seem the guys above them in the ranking are all on other routes

    well all I can say is Paul Smith himself has stated what I said, though I believe you should vacate British titles when fighting for British titles. Problem we now have is that the two best SMW that haven't fought for a British title are going down different routes and bypassing it (C Smith and Fielding), which is disappointing.

    Exactly, or better still have 4 fighters such as Brophy, Dodson, Blackledge, Buglioni paired off, and winners fight for vacant British title. One thing regardless Buglioni would not win it, his defence is slacker than a prostitutes fanny
