Should have gone to Specsavers!, hehe.
Thanks for the reply and i assure you i was just curious!

Getting back to the topic at hand the few i would say could create the biggest problem for Ali would be:-

Lewis, the guy was a monster when fully focused and Ali would have to be extremely carefu over 12 rounds but if it was over 15 then i see Ali turning it on down the home straight if he is still in there.

Tyson for obvious reasons would be the most dangerous any fighter could face over those first few rounds and the guy was durable, no matter what some on here think.

    Frazier, no explanation needed.

Those would be the biggest 3 for me.

I have never given Louis much chance against a fully primed Ali as i just don't see him avoiding those right hands that would be messing up his face and causing all manner of damage.
IMO Joes biggest chance would be to get Ali early as after 6-8 rounds i think he would have suffered a lot more damage than some people realise, especially if Ali had his Terrel mindset.

Holmes i am just not convinced did enough better than Muhammad for me to pick him.

Marciano would have his brave effort stopped by the ref IMO.

I agree with this response ..However , Lewis's weak-point was not his chin ..it was his Focus ..twice he got sparked because he lost focus .
But He took flush shots from Holyfield ,Tyson, Vitali and others and stood to tell the tale.
I also believe early Tyson would have been too much for Ali ,Tyson had better defense than Frazier , also his side bobbing style would trouble Ali , similar to Norton's Crab like style which Ali never really worked out

I think it would have to be men who could box, had speed and a jab. I'll put Holmes and Holyfield out there, I'd still favor Ali over anyone else, but they're in there with a chance. I'm also curious as to whether or not Jimmy Young can trouble him with his style.
Pressure fighters also gave him a tough time as well. Joe Frazier because he's Joe Frazier first off and then Marciano. I think his awkward style with lack of rhythm made him difficult for anyone to time.
One last shout one be Dwight Braxton, because he had tools that troubled Ali. He had good head movement and defense, an excellent counter jab, could cut off the ring, and had a body attack. The only thing missing from his ****nal is a stellar left hook.

    Yes..

I think Wlad has a longer reach, greater height, more strength, power, a tough outside fighting game and the ability to tie any man up who gets close.. Ali has no power or size to trouble Wlad with. He is an outside boxer, and while Wlad has never fought an outside boxer of Ali's caliber, he generally destroys every outside boxer type he faces. I might favor the pre-exile Ali who beat Earnie Terrell and Zora folley in 1966-1967 to out work and out point Wlad. But it would still be a tough fight that goes the distance with Muhammad taking it close on the cards and even then its no given. Any other version of Muhammad and Wlad is winning this.

    what a load of *******s.

Old Foreman couldn't even drop Tommy Morrison.

how was Foreman wiser? He was nearly knocked out by Lyle and lost to Young.

    Ali RUINED Foreman

Lets keep things within the realms of reality ok?

Wlad was clowned , befuddled and made a fool of , before he quiting against Willaimson who boxed laterally on the outside.

Which other boxer did Wlad destroy who utilized good range of motion and circling techniques??

Wlad badly wanted no part of a Williamson rematch that he sued the IBF for putting him ahead of him in the rankings, thus making Wlad fight him again.

I'll post the details below curtsey of the poster Man_Machine.

Look at the guys who tagged Ali with left hooks?

Look at their movement, their speed, reflexes and agility.

Show me Wlad fighting like that? Ali had enough power to trouble any HW.
If he has zero power like you claimed , then he doesn't stand a chance against iron chined Mike Tyson.
Wlad has a glass jaw and would be very troubled by Ali's lighting quick punches.

Absolutely not. It was telegraphed and Wlad makes it obvious when he's about to let it go by dangling his left hand down by his side.

He only cought Pulev because he had no movement and was utterly useless.

Haye saw them coming a mile off and dodged every one of them. But in Klitschko land ..

    Haye >>>> Ali.

Watch the Austin knockout. Apparently 5 left hooks in 2 seconds is "slow" now :lol
