No I've said countless times Lemieux would get KTFO by GGG, as of right now, and probably in the foreseeable future, but he's the real deal as far as the other middleweights are concerned, he, Khytrov and Murata may very well be the future of the division, after GGG moves up.

no point in GGG moving up, Froch will be gone soon,Ward is no where to be seen, no talent at 168 coming through

middleweight is a marquee division which will have bigger names and has Cotto and Canelo soon to be there too. Along with more talent coming through than any other division apart from maybe 175

on top of that GGG is on the small side for a middleweight too, i think he shoulc stay there and dominate for as long as possible

4-5 fights a year and he will break the world title defenses record with ease

I agree the SMW outside of Ramirez, Callum, Rocky and Fedor is pretty weak, but I was mainly referencing the TS' question.

    Your blind.
    Lemieux was winning the fight.
Won the 1st 6 rounds before running out of gas.
    No KO.
Russ Amber threw in the towel.
    Lemieux wanted to continue.

He didn't KO Lemieux back in 2011 and he would KO him now? :huh

Lemieux wouldn't get stopped on stamina issues today. He'd win a Rubio fight tomorrow morning. If you can't see the difference between the Rubio & Rosado versions of Lemieux, you just don't know what you're watching.

naming cotto as a MW is a joke after he dodged golovkin to milk his belt
cotto is no MW, but he benefited from catching Martinez at the right time
if golovkin is on the small side for a middle, what does that make cotto and canelo?
MW is hardly a marquee division - I don't see a whole lot coming through at MW or SMW

    No...just no.

Not onloy is GGG not moving up anytime soon, you have Khryrov,Quigley,Ogogo all coming through in the next year ot two.

You have guys like Saunders already getting close. Korobov, Quillin, Jacobs...

Beating a guy who EVERYONE beats in Rosado doesnt prove much to me

I just watched the fight not too long ago, Rubio was losing the rounds up until about 5 or 6 then the tide turned. But even before that, when he was losing every round, he never looked hurt, and he was actually countering very well and had Lemieux's nose busted up from round 1 or 2 onward which got much worse as the fight progressed. I think in round 5 or so Lemieux's corner was asking him if he was OK and to pay more attention or something because he was eating big shots too flush. They were slightly panicking in the corner by 5.

Who cares if he ends up championship material or not?

    He's:

    1) Exciting as hell to watch
    2) Willing to fight anyone, even outside his back yard.

Sadly those traits are become more and more of a rarity.
