On a serious note, methamphetamine does actually provide a potential benefit in the boxing ring. It aids in blood clotting by reducing the arterial flow. In other words, meth in your system, even well after use, can help protect you from the effect of cuts sustained in a fight. :think

I don't think many expect Walker, even with his vaunted one-trick-pony trademark power, to land a single KO blow on Wach - but, his best chance if he doesn't want to just outbox the big man in his backyard and hope for a fair shake on the cards abroad (while avoiding getting KTFO himself, with his very shaky jaw) is to wreak some facial damage with those heavy punches. If his normal blood flow has been altered or restricted by long-term meth use, Wach may effectively be immune to losing on cuts, giving him a massive competitive edge by taking away the biggest chance Walker has on paper.

Wach could be a good opponent for Joshua in late 2015-early 2016.

Oh, smack in the middle of his prison sentence?

I suppose we could have Jermain Taylor make a title defense in the co-feature?

    Oh, sorry.

But if he weren't facing jail time, he would be.

BE - yeah, the car actually belongs to Piotr Wilcszewski. Remember the Wolf? All-around solid (though unexceptional and not what you'd call athletically gifted) and gutsy European level contender. Kayoed by Stevens but gave DeGale and later Abraham vicious headaches.

Yeah, so he is actually in the most trouble, being the vehicle owner (not to mention the "authority" figure, since he trains both Wach & Kamil Łaszczyk, who fights on the undercard today) and is still actually in custody as of right now, I believe. He was petitioning to be let out in time for the show today, so he could work the corner for both Wach & Łaszczyk (both of whom got released and not in doodoo quite as deep as the Wolf Pack's leader, but are still in trouble and potentially facing jail time), but...

I always liked Wilczewski, but the one I feel the most bad for is Łaszczyk.

Wilk & Wach are both in their mid-30's. The former is effectively retired. He found out his ceiling and was never going to become a world champion or anything. As for Wach, the door I guess is technically still open, a crack, but he is quite a long shot. He already had a chance and blew it, and it would probably not be likely that he could rebuild his way to another with nothing on his side but his size and chin. (when there are other, more versatile super heavies with decent skills, or smaller heavies whose skills are vastly superior)

Kamil Łaszczyk, though...poor kid is only 23. If he goes to jail along with the W's, that basically kills his prime. That sucks especially if he was just an innocent passenger in the wrong place at the wrong time and going down for his coach's and/or stable-mate's bad choices.

I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon singing "Cup my Nevermind" to the tune of Alice Cooper's "Feed My Frankenstein".

    So thanks for that.

Well ESB does tend to surprise you. The clinical effects of amphetimines are broadly familiar (including the dilation of subcutaneous blood vessels) but I never made the connection with their potential use as as a PED in that respect. Hmm.:think

200g of the **** tho? That'd stop 50 fighters bleeding for a year's worth of bouts (and probably make them a little cranky as well).

Even at his best Walker isn't going to beat Wach, he just doesn't have the chin.

Walker at his current stage has virtually no chance against Wach.

I've always liked Walker a bit and it would be cool to see him pull an upset here but its not happening.
