Looks like Hughie will be fighting Andriy Rudenko, that's quite a step up considering his age and coming off a long illness. How do you guys see it going, Rudenko beat Lucas Browne in most peoples eyes.
Big step up and a dangerous fight. What's Hughies chin like? Can he go the full 12 rounds? These are questions that will be answered.
^ Yep good to see him back in good health. Big step up as well, but with him having quality sparring on the regular his team obviously feel he's more than ready. Good luck to him, bags of potential.
This match-up puts the Joshua vs Safety Pin one to shame and that rubbish is the headliner at the 02! 20 Year old Hughie is being matched with Real Fighters who are coming to win, not old has beens or walking punching bags like Kevin Johnson. The monaco card is turning out to be a very good one, well done to Hennessy.
Yep Whilst I agree AJ shouldn't be rushed he shouldn't be headlining cards until after he steps up a few levels Maybe Hearn is gambling that the fight will go into the late rounds, if KP is ko'ed early it will make a farce of the event. After Cleverly vs Bellew 2 u would think Hearn would show some humility, guess not
This is on the GGG/Murray card. I suspect he will take a tune up fight before then on either a Hennessey or Hobson card. Good fight for Hughie.
If this fight is on, it's a huge step up for Hughie. Browne had all the trouble in the world with Rudenko (On my card it was a draw) and Hughie has been out for some time.
To be honest Andriy Rudenko is not that good. He has some technical ability, but nothing special. I think the biggest problem for Shuggy might be the 10 round distance especially if it's fought at a decent pace. Although Rudenko never had any intensity against Browne, so I don't see any problems for Fury unless he has a dodgy chin. Decent first fight to take after his illness though.
Good fight, and as said I hope he has a warm up first. I don't think hell go toe to toe, will box the man in a completely different way to Lucas, who I thought won close but clear.
Good step up for Hughie. 14 fights, 20 years old and he's already going to fight someone better than any of Wilder's opponents.
