    Because PPV numbers would go down for both fights not as much as expected. Numbers would be divided by both fights happening in a just a month gap. If they expect Pac-May to be the biggest event in the sports history, they need this badly.

    Combining the two fights into one event, numbers could reach 3.5 to 4 million buys. I think Cotto and Alvarez will still receive the same amount of pay even Pac and May get higher pays in this event. We're talking about an Asian, Latinos and Americans in one huge event.

    But if you read up he said this during the ortiz build up... then a few months after the fight he called manny pacquiao... so while he retracted what he'd said he did try to make the fight.

    dawg..there's a poster on here that's already started. He asked the hypothetical question if Pac stops Floyd, will floyd fans admit Pac was better. I shot him with vice versa of that question and he answers "well if Pac loses, it proves Floyd was scared and waited for Pac to slow down"

    they're already loading up their excuses.doc file

    Now THAT would set an unbreakable ppv number :lol:

    Would never happen though. All of them require too much money

    if that card somehow comes together...I expect it to jumpstart the economy to the point where it puts the US back in the green

    damn could you imagine though, what a fitting undercard fight for a Pac vs Mayweather fight. A superfight as an undercard for THE superfight. Damnit

    Pacquiao vs. Mayweather would sell big regardless of the undercard.

    they could fight tomorrow morning with only 2 hours from announcement to actual start of the fight, no undercard, one camera in 240p with james toney as lone commentator and it will still sell over 2 million

    :lol::yep

    Though I do think the ppv will sell less than expected. I just don't think the fight is as in demand as it was 3-4 years ago.

    Divide and conquer. Two main events on one card??? dont think so.

    Bringing the two together is not a good idea for the promoters.
