Yup, I take George here. There ain't no rope-a-dope here for Lennox to win.

Foreman by ko, in fact the older version 90/91 i would also favour to defeat Lewis. Lennox has a great jab and right cross but would get caught and the fight would be over. He aint gonna knock George out and it would take 12 rounds of solid concentration for Lennox to take the decision and i don't in all honesty think he has it in him not to get caught. This will pan out very similiar to the Moorer fight with Lennox dominating early on and ratcheting up a decent lead but gets caught during the middle rounds and timber.....No disrespect but Foreman 70/74 was graet, Lewis thinks he is and that's the difference....

I favour LL 8/10 times by knock out.
The other 2 times, Foreman by KO

I just think Lewis has more in his ****nal than Foreman had.
Overhand right or uppercut, one of those knocks out any version of Foreman.

I'd favor Lewis slightly but Foreman has a significant puncher's chance. He could get Lewis out of there with one punch.

Depends on how serious Lewis takes Foreman. If he doesn't, he gets starched in 5. If he does, Foreman gets starched in 8.

Sloppy Foreman gets schooled and knocked out. Lennox is better in every aspect and has a more than 30 pound weight advantage.

the thing you got to remember about Foreman, we may never have seen this guy at his greatest potential. A lot of his best potential years he didn't even box. Young Foreman was somewhat unpolished but a wrecking machine nonetheless who believed his power could overcome anyone, then he got so attached to his invincibility it was devastating to lose it against Ali. Old Foreman was far more shrewd and ring savvy but no longer as fast. The combination of the two you might have seen in the early 80's would have been something to see.

But, since the best you can do is go '73 Foreman against '96 or so Lennox Lewis here is how I see it:

I think both fighters would be cautious with one another, Foreman because he never fought anyone that big, and Lewis because he is in there, with well George Foreman. From Lewis' point of view, being a big man with a powerful punch of his own, he would be tempted to get in there and mix it up with Big George, but in the end I don't think he would. To risky. Lewis is smart enough to know this man can put him down if he catches him, So he would box conservatively and try and frustrate Foreman with his jab, make George come to him so he could land a big right.

Foreman, for his part I honestly think might make more use of his underrated mobility than he usually did and try the same thing, get Lewis to come to him. Everyone assumes that Foreman would use the same windmill here I come style with Lewis, but I don't think so. As I said, Foreman never fought anyone as physically imposing as Lewis, so I think he would be a little more cautious and use his feet more, (which he could do when he was young. ) And try the same thing, get Lewis to come to him.

In short I think both fighters would try to get the other to come to them, but ultimately Lewis being the more polished and patient fighter would win the chess match and get the younger less polished and patient Foreman to fight his fight, and Lewis gets a decision or late stoppage. But Foreman would always have the puncher's chance.

Easy KO win for Lennox. Foreman is too slow and crude to touch Lennox.

Quite frankly, 70's Foreman would have been the most impressive guy Lewis would have ever faced.
70's Foreman had close to a 90% KO ratio. He could take a punch. He could get off the canvas. He was faster than given credit for (even according to Ali)

Lewis fights nothing like Ali and nothing like Jimmy Young.

So Lewis might very well be in trouble.

I take George by mid rounds TKO

Lewis never faced anyone close to Foreman's league. His best wins are Tua,Morrison,Mercer,Bruno,Holyfield and Tyson. The Holyfield and Tyson Lewis fought were far past their peak skills.

That's just silly to think. Slow and crude fighters don't destroy Joe Frazier twice. Slow and crude guys don't KO and destroy Ken Norton.

Slow and crude guys don't win the Olympic gold medal at age 19 after only 2 years of boxing.
