In his televised statement, Mayweather did no say exactly when is he signing on the dotted line of the fight contract and what would be the terms and fight purse or where is the fight going to be held.

The apparent lack of details in his statements led fight fans to doubt his sincerity in calling out Pacquiao and Bob Arum to make the fight happen.

Fight fans are still in doubt whether his latest statement calling out Pacquiao and Arum to make the fight happen on May 2, would hold as Mayweather seems to have reneged on his previous public statements.

 

to be fair you can say the same about arum and pac. they wont even lay out there desired details in a potential fight yet seem to want to deny offers were ever made by showtime or floyd

 

and yet they were offered $30mil and 35%ppv weren't they? that's automatically more than 40mil.

 

Not true. Team Pac proposed a split of 55-45 w/ the winner taking the lion's share. Not a single peep from Team Mayweather. Best deal yet.

 

You can bet Floyd is going to make PAC wear pillow gloves and that's the small roadblock only.

Here's what Floyd basically said last night:

- It MUST be on Showtime even though HBO is much bigger
- Pac MUST wear pillow gloves
- Pac MUST take 20% or less
- Pac MUST do everything he says

Sorry Floyd, it doesn't work like that. Saying you want the fight and making it are 2 different things. Floyd is doing everything to kill this fight...AGAIN.

 

Way I see it paquiao lost his leverage by losing those two fights. 60/40 at best for paquiao.

 

He didn't lose 2 fights. One was a big robbery.

I'm sure Arum would gladly take 40%, but Floyd is asking for at least 70%, trying to get Arum to take 30% or less. That's why the fight will not be made.
