fighters who go to the US get career-defining fights
I've never said it's right, but that's the way it is

you have your own ricky hatton as a poster child for that, and he wasn't half as good as calzaghe was

but calzaghe polarizes fans for the very reason you're defending him now. he didn't fight the best of his era when it mattered, because he allowed frank war+en to make him rich without risking it all. and there's no getting around that.

calzaghe retired "undefeated", and he was a better fighter than ricky hatton, but you never see threads criticizing hatton's career because he lived his in a way that left no stone uncovered.
    calzaghe didn't.
    and it's that simple.
don't insult ricky hatton by giving fantasy wins to british legends like calzaghe, eubank and benn when none of them did what hatton did

BTW, this RJJ is the best ever ****.

AT MW, i know of four people who would knock his ass out.
168lbs, 3 people would beat him. Eubank, Joe and Collins
175lbs, he wasn't even the best during his reign, DM was.
175lbs prime roy as the best ever LHW, no Kovelev knocks his ass out.
    Many people do.
Did he do anythign at Cruiser?

His HW thing, hahha, Lewis vs RJJ would have been PPV, hahah glass turning into diamond.

if you're not a brit****, don't get so emotionally invested
you sound like a little child now
DM also didn't cross the pond, so there's another fantasy win....

    DM, benn, toney and calzaghe

I don't post 'us versus them', but you do. that's what makes you a brit****.
nobody needs to get emotionally invested talking about fighters, there's no good reason for it

EDIT : where did I say "roy jones is the best ever?"

You never did, its just the hype machine in America built that "Character" up to those levels of super-manhood, it looks ridiculous from across the pound were fighters were killing one another, Benn vs Mc
Thurman got that superman treatment tonight.
    Before his fight.

It's ****ing ridiculous and people buy into the promos.
Back then, RJJ was the only promo around*Beside Naz and Eubank*

The only real guy around during roys reign was Collins, calling him out on live T.V.
which he blanked, due to him being a *****.

there's a difference between fighters building a mythical aura around themselves from their domestic rivalries, and fighting the best in the world.
I don't mean to downplay benn or eubank by saying that

What's the problem with making the pac-floyd fight in april or june? Oh yes it's floyd who would never fight outside of may. What a diva!

how is floyd a ****ing diva.. the article mentions POACHING of the date.. floyds had that date since canelo was even a known name among hardcore pugilists ffs. this is exactly why floyd refuses to work with arum, the biggest boxing holiday of the year belongs to the biggest fight and fighter! thats floyd and manny... arum just wants to throw spanners in the works because he wants to get under mayweathers skin an "show him whos boss"

if anyone gives arum a pass on this its a ****ing joke. dont get me wrong both are great fights and id die to see either one but does it not make sense to put the bigger fight on a priority date ? :-(

Never mind Canelo and Cotto give the ****ing date to May and Pac. Just make the fight Bob. If this fight does not push through because of a mere date, then, I would put all the blame on pac's camp.
