Kahn beat Alexander, something Bradley did 3 or 4 years ago and he too looked Spectacular against Alexander.

I think Floyd is a whole different beast, I think it will be more Kahn trying to figure out Floyd before then the other way around.

    Styles make fights

    Khan out speeds FMJ
    Khan out speeds Pac

Garcia undid Khan but in a rematch Khan doesn't get as involved up close

The point is that if Khan can stick to his game plan and use his speed and accuracy from the outside while resisting the urge to get involved in exchanges he has the skills to beat anyone.

surprised to see khan so far ahead in the poll, think fmj will win, he can change his style and make it more of a rough inside fight if he is struggling to beat khan by outboxing him.

think khan is arguably more of a threat to mayweather than pac is though

You're right, which is why Floyd only fights slow, plodding sluggers.

Alexander worked maidana like a 5 dollar hooker

Maidana gave mayweather his toughest night in years

Khan beat both maidana and Alexander

He is the legit choice for mayweather

Floyd, knows this, he probably knew it in late 2013 before electing to fight Maidana. That performance should be a clue for any one who knows much about boxing that Floyd will retire before any fight with kahn happens.

I think Floyd options are simple, fight Manny or take the mandatory. Thus I think Mayweather fights Thurman next.

If kahn manages to get WBC interim status alongside the WBC silver belt, Mayweather will drop the WBC belt like it hot rather than face Kahn.

If you know anything about boxing then you would know based on style Khan would cause Floyd major problems, too many people on here who have never set foot in a boxing gym or thrown a punch in their life talk about glass jaws,etc..

Khan has major problems with fighters with one punch knockout power which Mayweather doesn't have. Khan is quicker than Mayweather now but Mayweather is obviously still more skilled than Khan but Khan does give Mayweather his toughest night and could beat him. I think this going to happen and it will be a great match up.

his speed only lasts for 4 rounds (that's how muscle speed works legs or arms same thing can only be done in short bursts and this kind of energy is wasted pretty fast and than you have to rely on the slower work)

he only throws these speed combos from way behind you can see them miles away you just have to block and wait for the combo to fizzle (it has no power anyway) or step aside (god forbid devon did that)

he is a non threat to any decent fighter:

fighting floyd would be the most boring fights you ever see, floyd would go into his shell while catching him here and there so he does not loose the first rounds and than he will get the center of the ring and dominate against a fighter with no defense

fighting pac would be a death wish he will be countered and put down in the first rounds (2-4)

any other top fighters will beat him pretty easy because he is so damn one sided it's not even funny

his fights looks the same, look good (against fighters that do no know to put up that damn center guard) the first rounds than struggle and pray he doesn't get caught with one big shot (you could hear his corner scream at him to stay focused the entire match)

In all truth people, beating Alexander is by no means a litmus-test-result worthy of assuming Khan suddenly takes Mayweather to school...?

It was a crossroads fight for Khan against a decent opponent, how this suddenly has people caught up in the adrenalin of the moment and declaring him the best in the world (cos let's face it...love or hate Floyd, and I don't necessarily agree with the way he's conducted his career - in my opionion he probably could've won evey fight he ducked - but he is still fundamentally the best in the world....) is totally beyond me. A good win sure, but as usual, these threads go into overdrive in the immediate aftermath of a win for any boxer who polarises opinions, and the reality is what it is: he beat a guy Bradley beat a few years ago.

Solid name on the resume indeed, but a leapfrog into the pole position it is not.

Take the blind fold off please. Nobody has dominated Alexander like that.

This same fighter shut Maidana out who almost got a trilogy out of Floyd.

sorry man i am not a hater I am simply saying my conclusions after just seeing the fight

yes he has crazy speed but he can't use it on the counters because he doesn't have the reaction time, he can't use it from good angles because he moves only in straight lines, he can only throw a speed combo that you can see coming right at you so it's easy to block or get countered by a world class fighter that will anticipate it

Devon was with his hands down most of the time and he was not hurt but "the mighty speed" and in offense he just looked clueless (do not know him but he has **** accuracy that's for sure) he only get in a couple of shots and the rest of the time he did nothing ...

    no way

you know how you stop khan speed? you put your gloves up and wait 2 seconds for the flurry to be done you think that's hard for floyd?
