Are you seriously saying that Khan is the same fighter now that lost to Prescott??? Are you excluding the possibility that a boxer cannot be improved by coaching? Also by throwing all those names into the same 'level', are you saying that Lamont Peterson is a similar calibre fighter to Prescott or Danny García to Paul McCloskey?

Or really are all that you are saying is that you are an ignorant sack of sh*t that knows jack all about boxing?

I am not debating whether he should get a shot. In light of many of Floyd's opponents, he's more than worthy of a shot.

I just don't buy into him schooling Mayweather on the back of wins against Collazo and Alexander.

But hell yeah, give him a shot. I'd rather see him face Pacquiao though for entertainment value. I don't see a fight against Mayweather being fan-friendly at all.

He wouldn't have beaten the Pac that destroyed Cotto or Hatton.

Exactly. Khan has great speed and no ability to adapt to adversity and even lacks basic recovery once his neck gets tagged.

That neck is a neurological flaw in khan. It can be hit at any time. You can't train away that weakness when you come in every damn time with your head in the air. He doesn't cover his chin during the fast flurries. And no, peterson and mccloskey aren't on the same level but khan looked absolute **** trying to hit mccloskey cleanly, which shows his offense is not as penetrating as he believes.

He still hasn't fixed coming in and out with his chin in the air. He is and always has been a knockout waiting to happen as long as he has that neck with that offensive habit. Alexander was the wrong fighter to exploit it with those loopy asinine punches he always threw

Khan has his flaws but calling him average is going a bit far. If Khan is average then what do you consider above average/good/great? Some of you guys have pretty (unrealistic) high standards:lol:

Maybe. I said he could've won every fight he ducked...but he had every chance of losing to the Pac of '09.

Probably one of Khans best performances.

When has Manny ever shown versatility in the ring? First class ring IQ, if that is the case why has he fought Márquez exactly the same way four times? Or is Manny just a slow learner and you spouting nonsense?

    :good

Putting the words 'Manny' and 'First class ring IQ' in the same sentence is showing your lack of knowledge. And I'm a Manny fan!

There is a severe drop in quality in fighters lately. There were many more complete guys from 1980 to even 2007 ... then they got old and the young ones are a cut below. Any sport where litzau caballero could be on TV is in sad shape. Those are almost c level fighters. Peterson, alexander, matthysse, madaina, ortiz, berto, garcia, and broner all lack something important that makes them b plus or a minus at best. They aren't as complete even as relatively lowly regarded fighters of the past such as prime kevin kelly. Primes lasted much less time in the past because the competition coming up was so stiff. Khan has glaring stylistic flaws. The competitive dominance of Hopkins jmm pac and Floyd shows that those younger than 35 or so for some reason are not quite as complete, and it is a puzzling absence in the sport. I think a prime morales is infinitely superior to madaina and garcia, for example.

How many punches did 'Cheated not Defeated' throw in that fight? Seriously pull up the punch stats and then make a case for McCloskey winning:deal The fight should have been stopped by the ref for the extreme cowardice displayed by Duddy that night.
