Maybe not totally outclass but I've always fancied Khan to beat Brook pretty handily and whilst Brook was impressive against Porter and did better than many expected, this hasn't changed my mind.
I've said for a long time Amir would beat Kell with the minimum of fuss, just the Yorkshire lads can't see the woods for the trees
if your using last night as a gauge then look at what Porter did to alexander and look what brook did to porter. brook vs porter is still a 50/50 fight. I think it would go to points and go a couple of points either way. id love to see brook vs khan at wembley next summer. Pac vs mayweather in may then both winners fight next November/December to unify the division.
Kell's timing isn't on par with JMM's (that's the kind of timing you need to stop ultra-fast Boxers like Amir) and Brook is way too slow offensively to bother Amir as well.
People act as if Brook gave Porter a lesson in Boxing. Far from it, actually. That was a cagey/close fight for many rounds.
I think Khan would be more favoured to win. His speed would trouble Brook a lot. I wouldn't rule Brook out, though. What i like about Brook is he's like a surgeon with his accuracy. He hits hard, too. In the Shawn Porter fight all Porter did was bumrush him and try and brawl on the inside. No straight punches thrown at all. He landed very little clean. Brook's output wasn't amazing but he has good accuracy. He hurt Porter numerous times in that fight. The speed would be a problem for Brook but i think eventually he could outstrength him and time Khan's flurries. Brook is a big welterweight. I think beating Alexander is a bit overrated now. It was a good win but not exceptional. Alexander isn't a big hitter.
last night created the possibility of great fights in 2015.I would certainly pay ppv for Brook v Khan and Lee v BJS.As a Yorkie and big fan of the Sheffield lads generally I'm supporting Kell,BUT Khan boxed ever so well last night.
Some excellent points there. Here is why Brook beats Khan. 1) His surgical accuracy - there's possibly only Mayweather who is more accurate 2) His excellent timing - there's possibly only Mayweather who has better timing and this beats speed every time. 3) Strength - Brook is undoubtably the strongest and most physically dominant Welter Weight in the world. I mentioned before the Porter fight that if a predominantly cardiovascular athlete who fights at 10st 7 is bench pressing 6 reps of 140kg then this level of strength is absolutely sick. I mentioned this before the Porter fight and there was only one poster who made reference to this because most people don't understand what type of advantage this is - to put it in to perspective, I doubt all the other world class welter weights would struggle to lift even 6 reps of 70kg 4) Power - there's a lot of hype about Thurman but I believe Brook punches as hard as Thurman and Maidana - I recall Matthew Hatton saying Brook punched harder than Alvares. 5) Chin - the only time I've ever seen Brook even wobbled was a temple shot by Senchenko where as Khan's issues are well documented. The only advantage Khan has over Brook is speed and reach but this will mean little when Brook times him with ease, cuts off the ring and then man-handles him. Having said all that, I think Khan has a chance against Mayweather but less so against Pacquiao.
danny garcia ain't as swift as his nickname would have you believe. i fancy brook by late stoppage in a cracking fight which will be easy for neither man. here's hoping it comes off.
for you to compare Kell anywhere near the level of Mayweather is simply laughable, somebody has gave you a carry out to write that, get back on it pal
