ricky hatton was much more popular and the hype for that fight was unreal yet it did not break 1 mill buys bottom line is the only way floyd will be sure to break 1 mill buys is if he fights pac

Say what you like about the Hatton numbers, but Ricky took THIRTY THOUSAND Brits with him. Amir will never do that.

The que to fight Floyd is as scary as it ever was BUT he'll fight Chaves or Garcia.

This fight is already signed I imagine. Neither fighter has much in the way of options.

Just wondering how Floyd was suddenly ok with working with Arum? He was adamant about it. Wasn't that the latest excuse one side or the other made up?

and you guys conveniently forget that Floyd did in fact end up calling Pac with the infamous $40mil offer. He was trying to make pac his 'next' opponent. But instead of negotiating/ironing out a better deal, Pac passes the phone to konzc

Or or or!! How about the one where Manny says that 14 days is to close to training and he will be distracted !!!

Or the one where arum says they are going to build a stadium and Manny's cut won't heal!!!

Or the one where arum can't even come up with a excuse as to why pac won't test and says that Manny maybe has a fear of needles !!!!!!

which is why I said NEGOTIATE. Here's your rival calling you up for a possible fight and you don't even haggle for a possibility of you guys agreeing on terms.

    edit: KEYWORD IS NEGOTIATE

edit2: on the flipside of that, what has Pac/Arum done to make the fight happen but blabber through the media?
And Constable, some guy (I think it was Alex) asked you in another thread "What's Arum's latest offer?" and you scurried away from the thread never to be seen again.

floyd knows full well pac has a promoter meaning he can not do deals with the permission what floyd wanted to do was con pac and just give him 40 mill and take the rest of the money and do it behind his promoters bac this is not legal pac was not a free agent

all sudden now arum is not the problem why was he the problem back then sonny?

If he took this fight a year ago I'd approve of it. Now? Not so much.

don't try to deviate the conversation. We're talking about the gesture of one fighter actually calling up another to try and make a fight happen. I think everyone would agree that $40mil flat rate is pretty BS but that's negotiations 101. You never start at the actual figure you'd settle for.

OK "pac has a promoter...."...well what has his promoter done to get this fight done? And if he wanted this fight so bad, how he come has never put his foot down and told Arum "It's Floyd or no one"?
