How Many Previous Champs Does Wlad Beat?

I don't pay any attention to that.

Nobody truly believes Wlad is better than Ward, Manny, Rigo, Crawford, Khan etc.

Rankings are bought. Wlad probably paid for it. Like he used GGG as blackmail to get more exposure from HBO.

 

Maybe because the man doesn't have a clue about Boxing???

 

How much does something like that cost, Dino ?

I'm guessing a #2 would cost more than a # 7, say ?

Would a RING ranking cost more than an ESPN plaudit ?


And who would actually get the money when a ranking is bought ?

How did Boystov get to be WBO #1 while he was being groomed for Wlad by beating nobody in the top 10 and actually ducking two of them.
Somebody paid for him to be there.

 

This is very true.

I've also lived through the Holmes era, the Tyson era and the Lewis era.

Both Holmes and Lewis were derided while active, and unfavourable comparisons made to earlier greats.

Tyson was treated better by his contemporaries.
Some declared him the GOAT as he smashed through all the names he faced, and there was universal shock in Feb 1990 when Buster conquered the legend.


And now, with the benefit of time past, many, maybe most, rank both Holmes and Lewis ahead of Mike.

Time.

 

I'm pretty sure the lists of the WBO,WBA, WBC and IBF were not the lists under discussion. Do they even have pound for pound lists ?

Each of these questionable organizations has their own agenda, more related to financial considerations than greatness.

But Wlad ranks in every independent top 10 list.

He was and he wasn't. I lived through the Lewis era and i remember him being celebrated for the most part. Sky used call him a great on many occasions.
Everybody knew who Lennox Lewis was. Who knows Wladimir Klitschko?

 

Well the British media would, wouldn't they .

But overall, he was not given his proper dues while he boxed.

His stock has certainly risen since.

 

I do. Wlad has a much more impressive resume than Khan and Crawford you mentalist.

 

He's in a weak division and he's not better than them skill wise.

 

I don't need to get over anything, Lewis was losing the fight full stop. Lewis was a great fighter but deep down he won't have been happy about winning a fight due to cuts, he knew he was behind hence no reamatch.

 

A win on cuts is as absolute as any other.

 

Yeah no doubt but that doesn't mean the better fighter won now does it?? The scorecards didn't agree.
