From the official HBO youtube account. A little clip of the win.

Obviously delighted for Andy. A stylish finish that shut a few people up. I hope he really enjoys it.

Not really on here a lot over the last while but just stopping by having a little read of people's opinions of the fight .I'm delighted for Andy .he started off when I was just getting into boxing properly in fact lee vs Willie gibbs was the first live boxing event I ever attended .always loved his style and the power that we all new was there from early in his career always made him entertaining .that right hook !!!! He seems like a genuine nice guy on twitter or in any interviews I've seen him in .Be it UK or Ireland or US I look forward to heading to his first defence . GET IN!!!

Huge range of options available for Andy now. Big domestic matches vs Macklin, Spike etc.
    Then there is bjs.
Maybe, just maybe Canelo might be tempted....!!!

All contingent on Andy not doing a "Darren Barker" on it and losing hisfirst defence, of course....

Just as well he didnt take your "advice" and retire.

Honestly would love to see him in with Heiland, then Saunders then Macklin, then go back to the states and fight Canelo.

Delighted for Andy absoloute gent, he finally lived up to his early promise, his fight with Jason McKay was my first live boxing event I went to, hope he makes some serious cash now.

What a long strange road for Lee to become champ! Glad he finally did it. :thumbsup

Yeah he did it the hard way. For any of us who have been following his journey since 2006 its a great moment. Even better because it shows the Steward legacy lives on.

Really hope he fights Billy Joe Saunders in Ireland next, it'd be a good fight and a great atmosphere. He can fight and get wrecked by GGG later.

Thats a fight I remeber well, for the Irish title on RTE i think it was. McKay wasn't bad, decent rangy boxer, but coulnd't crack an egg. That fight was the first and only time ive ever seen Andy ****ed off and showboating to. I think before the fight, John Breen who trained McKay said something about lee not having heart and needless to say it didnt go down well with Lee.

I guess this is one of those occasions where I can honestly say Im glad to be wrong, Moorser. Although I'm not all that wrong - I always reckoned Andy COULD beat Korobov, and he did.

There is no guarantee Andy would beat the first 3 guys you mention.

As for "serious money" -that would be Canelo.
There has to be a chance that if Canelo wants to get his foot in the door at 160, he might, just might see Andy as the 'weaker link' at 160, and his best chance of grabbing a (piece of) a title there. I sure hope so anyway...:thumbsup

I also seem to remember Jim Rock in the studio before the fight saying that there was unwarranted hype around Andy and that McKay (who he trained with) would beat him. Mick Dowling did not let him live that down after the fight haha

Here's an idea : make it against HNN.

    1. long awaited amateur rematch
    2. great fight stylistically
    3. high reward for both (HNN makes for a legitimizing 1st defense to prove the Korobov upset no fluke; while beating Lee riding that high for the belt would be the signature victory for HNN)
    4. HNN has already fought in Ireland and fought Fitzy before that, so he'll be known to Irish casuals.

For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, here's a stream showing all the fights from the France-Ireland international last week. Good night of boxing, I was particularly impressed with young Brendan Irvine in his first international, who has excellent boxing skills. Looked like the new John Joe Nevin in there at times! Lots of potential and he will only get better.

    In "proper Ireland"

    How's everything going lads?

Fantastic night on Saturday delighted for Andy I know everyone talks about him being a nice guy ect... But he is one of the most genuine lads I have met in the sport. Wouldn't have loved to be there on Saturday but had college work to do.

I always had faith the boy would bring home the belt can't wait for the BJS fight
