Don't you need a personality to qualify for that? :D
OMG, you watch when Carl doesn't win, he'll start making excuses and moaning about everybody else should just retire :patsch

He's not even the best boxer in his division. McIlroy or Hamilton for the win.

What do you think personality actually involves, being quirky and having a laugh? All the important traits of desire, focus, mental hardness etc get ignored. Took some set or stones to come back the way he did and succeed on that platform.

Although granted he isn't particularly endearing but he has all the personality traits that matter so he can succeed - just not the ones you want him to have. And to be honest none of the others do either

I would say his personality should rule him out but if Andy Murray can win a 'personality' award then anyone can.

a better shout would have been mccracken as coach of the year, reaching the top of his field in both amatuer and professional sport simultaneously is unique.

but a "panel of experts" chose a bloke who's got 2 years to prepare top pros for a 2-day tournament against 1 oppsing team renowned for choking!

Murray last year and now Hamilton, should be called "lack of personality of the year"
