Say the boxing gods came together and everything falls into place
Say Arum and Oscar wanted to bring back boxing into the limelight by putting a very stacked card

    May,2,2015
Collaboration between GBP and Top Rank
PPV Title " About Damn time!"

    Doble header

Mayweather vs Pacquiao and Canelo vs Cotto
    At MGM Arena

    PPV Card

Broner vs Maidana 2 (USA vs Argentina) 50K buys
Lara vs GGG (Cuba vs Kashaktan) 100K buys
Froch vs JCC 2 ( UK vs Mexico) 300K buys
Brook vs JMM ( UK vs Mexico) 300K buys
Stiverne vs Wilder (Canada vs USA) 50K buys

    Co main event

Canelo vs Cotto 1 million buys

    Main Event

Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2.4 million buys

With this stacked card I would say PPV buys can hit 4.2 million. I know it's far fetched because it has never been that high. But when you add The 4 best PPV stars USA, Philippines, Mexico, Puerto Rico from those boxing crazed regions plus the extremely loyal fans of the U.K and Argentina and Top it off with one of the best from Cuba vs one one of the best that comes from a former Soviet union country I don't see why it can't be a little less than the current highest PPV buy which is somewhere around 2.4 million.

There are all reasonable realistic as of now.

May vs Pac the fight we been all waiting for
Canelo vs Cotto Mexico vs PR rivalry
Wilder vs Stiverne the chance of an American heavyweight champion
Lara vs GGG guys who have been ducked, come from former affiliated countries, have expert amateur and wouldn't mind being in a stacked card to get there name out
Bronner vs Maidana 2 Entertaining polar opposite grudge match
Brook vs JMM who is trying to get a fourth division title
Froch vs JCC Jr UK vs Mexico rivalry

I think this card is reasonably realistic and one that can do 4 miilion ppb buys probably 4.2 million. It will make news

Now stop being a bleeding whining pessimist and give us your opinion.

Pac vs may would break 3 mill buys on its own

EVEN NON BOXING FANS WILL BUY THIS FIGHT

    BUT FLOYD IS SCARED

Insane card, unfortunately it's not reasonably realistic as you say, something even close to that will never ever happen unfortunately :-(

With Top Rank and GSP working together and putting the biggest fight in this era I don't see why they wouldn't also add the 3 and 4 th biggest ppb starts since they also want to fight May the 2nd. Plus why not stack the card even more further?

What time of day would this card have to start to get all of these fights in?

Boxers fight 2X a year, typically. Some fight 3 or 4 times, but that's a rarity. The networks will not blow their load in one night even for a massive pay day.

So unrealistic it isn't even fantasy.

I actually think this many fights on a card would be a bad thing because some truly massive fights would not get the attention they should just due to the size of the card.

3 mil is the max, mostly for PAC and May, the residuals will be for cotto/Canelo... Everything else is just extra.

Would be the most stacked ever... And can get $100-150 per.

Hardcores would gladly pay that... So would casuals.

Floyd,Pac,Cotto and Canelo…imposible to come with the money for this 4 cats in one night adding fighters who already collect big bucks per fight like Maidana,Broner,GGG,JMM,Junior,Lara,Froch
    but it sounds good.

of course you probably would not see them fights all over 1 year never mind in 1 night but..

it would do 2.5-3mill at a guess but PPV numbers for all sports are on the slide are they not? gladly be proven wrong on that I just think I heard in a few boxing interviews with promoters saying PPV is a dinosaur due to the state of the worlds economy people just aint willing to pay anymore

Anyone who would buy ANY of the other fights on this card, would also but Mayweather-Pacquiao.

So outside of that fight, none of the other fights will really add anything...the Cotto-Canelo fight may add a bit, but thats it.

There isnt a person on the planet who will say "I wasnt going to buy the Pac-Mayweather fight until I heard Lara was going to be on it...or Broner...or Stiverne"

    See my point?
