How Many Previous Champs Does Wlad Beat?

What contributions have you made to this or any other threads apart from talk about your little fantasy world, going on about your holidays and other bull**** when in reality you still live with your elderly mother and hide away in a little room on your PC.

Andy Lee used to beat Wladimir's behind in sparring all the time, Magoo. Look it up.

 

That's not what I saw. I saw Wlad winning about 4 of the 5 rounds they fought with the exception of the 4th round in which Williamson scored a flash knockdown putting Wlad down for less than a split second. The cut caused by the head but was bad and blood dripping into Wlad's eye could have also had something to do with some of the shots Williamson landed.. In either case this does not amount to a victory for Williamson.

Yes posting an interview from the losing opponent is surely a credible source. I can post dozens of interviews from losing opponents claiming they should have won, who didn't.

I'll agree that a rematch was warranted. But not that Williamson handed Wlad his ass. And I disagree that Wlad never fought anyone of Williamson's calibur again, as several of his future opponents were as good or better.

The same can be said of Jimmy Young and Tommy Morrison who were several levels below Wlad.

 

Give me a break. It as a tiny scratch. Look at Vitali's face here when he was still fighting Lewis.

The bleeding was stopped immediately after he quit. You don't stop a fight over a little cut like that and you know it. Quit lying to yourself.

Take a good hard and long look at it.

A blind man could see that Wlad was finished before the cut. He was throwing nothing and his mouth was nearly on the canvas. He quit , therefore he lost. Accept it.

 

I don't jump to forgone conclusions, but you sure seem sold on this one.

 

If you want to accept Wlad won by technical decision , fine. But Williamson was still absolutely robbed. There should be no disputing that.

So,
Gets a gift - but really quits against Williamson. Refuses rematch.
Gets stopped by journeyman - Purrity. Refuses rematch.
Gets stopped in , realistically the first round against past prime Sanders. Refuses rematch.
Gets battered by Brewster. Refuses immediate rematch.
Almost gets knocked out by Sam Peter.
Couldn't even give David Haye a black eye over 12 rounds.
Fully deserved a DQ loss against an out of shape Povetkin.
Beat nobody else of any worth.

You want to tell me this guy is up there with the greats and beats former great fighters ? Im not seeing it.

 

Those are all valid observations but only one view of a larger reality.. He has also dominated the division for 8 years and hasn't lost in over 10. He is a unified title holder and has pretty much beaten all of the best guys that have been around for much of the past decade with the exception of his own brother whom he was never going to fight for obvious reasons. You're also forgetting that as time went on, his skills improved noticably. As for Povetkin, he deserved to have points deducted but being DQ'd is drastic. An honest person would say that he beat the **** out of Alexander. And while the Williamson debacle may have called for a rematch it was hardly a robbery. People lose fights by technical decisions due to cuts all the time and it wasn't like Williamson was really winning anyway. We can all pick and choose performances which shed doubt on a man's chances against great men, and the same goes for the great men you believe would beat Wlad.

Many felt Lewis escaped with a win and was dead tired after the 6th round. Indeed Max Kellerman, then a Klitschko antagonist mentioned this.

What does it matter? Lewis said he give the re-match. It would have been the biggest fight in boxing. He talked, and mocked. He waited for Vitali to KO Johnson and Sanders. 18+ Million was there for Lewis.

Lets not act that Lewis retired on his own. The WBC ordered a re-match! It was only then that Lewis, who was acting and taking like an active fighter quickly announced his retirement.

Oh yeah, Lewis tired to get a match with Kirk Johnson in Canada and Roy Jones before he retired. It was clear that he wanted to fight on, as long as it wasn't Vitali.

Judging by Lewis big ego, and his compete denial in the interview right after the fight, I suspect deep down he knew he wasn’t going to win the re-match.

 

Finally someone with an ounce of brain. Lewis was a great fighter and deserves to be put up there with the greats but only let's not try and pretend he owned Vitali, those cuts could have been freak accidents. Vitali was winning the fight and suffered some bad cuts, doesn't change the fact he was winning the fight and deserved the rematch.
