Andrew Lee is 30 year old 6'2 Light Middleweight/Middleweight with a 34-2-1 24 KO's 2 KO losses record. Born in Bow, London, United Kingdom and by heritage and fighting out of Limerick, Ireland and London. He's a natural Southpaw with a hell of a Right Hook, Emmanuel Steward said that one day Andy Lee would be champion, well finally that day has come, sadly it came 2 years too late for his Boxing Father to see, but it was very poignant to me nonetheless. I've always liked Andy there is just an affable quality that makes you want to root for him, so I literally jumped off my couch cheering like an idiot when I saw him land his brutal right hook on that bore Korobov, the moment it hit I knew there would be no recovery for Matvey and Lee went for the attack with a sense of confidence and finally got a belt and some credit he's long deserved. His 2 losses I always felt were questionable, I've always thought the Vera match was stopped a little too soon, Andy has good recovery power and the ref jumped the gun, and yes Julio Jr. KO'd him, but Julio was probably a Cruiserweight when he did. Just when everyone as they have before had written Andy off as shot he's come back this year with a flawed vengeance destroying a undefeated record coupled with a highlight reel KO of John Jackson. Personally I'd love to see him against Cotto because I think he'd have a legit chance to be the Lineal Middleweight Champion, but because he's willing to fight everybody, he'll probably end up facing Gennady which will be unfortunate for him, so we should enjoy Andy's success while it lasts, hopefully he can stretch it out for a little while. Congratulations Andy.
