    1. Not proven yet given the events you would be right to be suspicious

    2. Opinion, yet seems to be how majority of bookies (who are financiallyinvested not emotionally see it)

    3. Bull****. Pacs wanted the fight 100% after the first.round.of.negotiations. Bob arum on the other hand

Fat Dan ripping on Mayweather. He's got like 20 tweets bashing on him. I'm not sure why... he may be pushing the fight or doing his part to turn up the pressure. I don't know. He's been pretty unbiased through the years with a view that they both held up the fight.

Ok, so it seems two of the biggest fights that can be made for 2015 are competing for the coveted Cinco de Mayo weekend date (May 2nd, 2015).

Now, I know neither fight has been officially signed, so let's talk hypothetically.

Who should get the May 2nd, 2015 date?

Should it be Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao or Miguel Cotto vs Saul "Canelo" Alvarez?

Mayweather vs Pacquiao is the fight people have been asking for about 5 years. It is the biggest fight that can be made in our lifetime and whether you are a Floyd fan or a Manny fan, you cannot deny this fight will likely break PPV records.

Cotto vs Canelo adds yet another chapter in the famous Puerto Rico vs Mexico boxing rivalry. Hispanic people are known for devoutly supporting their fighters, and a fight of this scale will likely see huge PPV numbers.

So who deserves this date? Vote and discuss.

    Biggest fight deserves best date

.arum had no issues making pac hatton on cinco but now feels its offensive

The public want both fights but one clearly more then the other

PAC V MAY DESERVES MAY 2ND

How about Mayweather 60% Pacquiao 30%, winner takes 10%. Though since Floyd says "Manny will not get $40 mil, which is less than 40%, in itself, it seems as though Floyd wont fight him for less than 80% of the purse, which is absurd.

Floyd needs to fight pac. No ifs of buts. Moonves already made this known. Floyd is cornered. What moonves wants, moonves gets. Floyd is just a pawn in moonves game. Floyd is no boss. Hes moonves' b!tch.

Floyd is probably using Pac's name into scaring the Canelo-Cotto fight into changing their date. Floyd then announces that negotitiations fell through because of some ridiculous reason and he'll be fighting Khan instead (tbh Khan didnt look that bad last weekend but it's still not the fight everyone wants).

If we were lucky then we'd get the Canelo-Cotto fight as an undercard but I highly doubt that since they will most likely do big numbers on their own.

Let's be clear here. Floyd vs Pac would be the much bigger fight, but neither is even remotely Mexican.
It's a Mexican holiday. Not an American or Pinoy holiday, so no reason the fight should be at that date. Why not late April or mid to late May for that fight? Or the 4th of July if they want it to be on a holiday date.
