Thats not a bad idea actually, would be easy to promote, everyone has off and is getting together to grill an whatnot anyhow. No NFL or NCAA to compete with. Would be big news in an otherwise slow sports news cycle.

There's legitimately no reason Floyd/Manny needs to happen on May 2. Cotto/Alvarez would be huge n that date, whereas Manny/Floyd would be as huge on May 9 as it would on May 2.

The promoters make more money doing it that way. The only one hung up on the date is Floyd, and he doesn't have that kind of power, try as he might.

 

Where is it etched in stone that these guys have to fight on May 2nd? How about May 9th, or 15th, or 22nd? This whole thing is a joke. Floyd is just trying to throw a ****** wrench in the Cotto-Canelo fight. He has no intention of fighting Manny, he will find a way to back out. My prediction is that Floyd will try to sell us a fight with feather-fisted Timothy Bradley

Can't see Canelo vs Cotto (Floyd beat both already and Pac has beat Cotto) doing anything close to that.

 

Gtfoh. No one would call it a duck if he fought Pac. That doesn't make sense, even Khan fans won't call it that. It will be another duck if he faces Khan. If he doesn't fight either guy it would probably be made out of a duck of both guys. Although the Khan fight is fun he doesn't necessarily deserve a shot for beating Devon and Luis.

 

If Floyd said he was focusing on Khan instead of Pac, everyone would say he was ducking Pac blah blah blah...

But the guy actually says he is focused on Pac, and now people are saying he is ducking Khan.
