Yeah he probably would have but that doesn't change the fact that Vitali would have caused big troubles for any version of Lewis. Vitali was no Michael Grant who would just drop like a sack of potatoes.

I've resent the message, basically it is put up or shut up. Don't worry I won't be arranging to meet you at an airport, if you're serious name the time and place.

Complacency is one possibility, but I know in tennis, at least, some players whether they want to or not, simply end up playing to the level of their opponent. So when they play good players they play much better than when they play against bad players. Both are individual sports and both require both a high degree of fundaments and both are very mental games. So whether you want to call this complacency or whatever term one wishes to label it, I think that's the answer.

Only in your mind, along with a few Klitschko fanitics would it be considered a toss up.

Try putting up a poll on this and it will quickly be obvious that you're in the clear minority.

I agree and I think "complacency" is exactly what it was especially in the first Rahman fight. Lewis was casually walking around the ring with his guard down for most of the evening, not making best use of the jab, and just seconds before the knockout punch, was smiling at Rahman as though he was taunting him... You didn't see any such nonsense in the rematch.

    First fight below..

Only in your mind would it be a one sided fight....

And what does a poll prove? I wonder what the poll results would have been for Tyson and Douglas??

Whatever. We both know what the results of the poll would be and we both know what the results would be if that would have been a prime Lewis in the ring. As it was Vitali only ended up with 60 stitches, losing to a past prime Lewis. I doubt him fighting a prime Lewis goes to the scorecards.

Superior in every department? BS. Vitali is taller, better on the counter, has better head movement, can land at more angles, has a higher punch out put, and is harder to hit cleanly.

I’m sure you’d back Lewis. Just like you felt David Haye would beat Wlad.

I can't help you with that.

The bet has to do with Dino, and Dino is in the thread.

    What, you doubt me?

A small sampling of what the boards are saying about Dino after he continued to post after the Pulev fight.

Quite of a few of these guys are respected posters even down here in Classic.

I would applaud this but I can tell you from experience you're wasting your time. McVey will disappear for a while, claim some sort of surgery, then try to twist the facts in effort to save face.
