That's my point obviously no replacement if refunding tickets, its not that I asked for a refund. Was looking forward to seeing Limond v Jenkins, think that could be a fight of year contender, and was looking forward to Rose V Jones. Hearn Should put Limond v Jenkins as a headline act in Glasgow now, give Brophy the step up fight and exposure boys talent deserves, put big Simmo in a good fight, with John Simpson v Hyland, put Roberts, Slowey in tidy wee fights and put Ham and Flynn in with journeymen and I think you would get 5,000 at the Emirates for it

No, world title shots should be based on current form not past achievements.

That's the exact same argument as saying roy jones jr deserved a title shot more than kovalev or Stevenson.

so what basis did Mitchell get his first or second shot at the title mate that's just an example there's been plenty who simply shouldn't have a shot, yet Ricky was a world champ for 3 1/2 years get real

Christ you really have it in for Mitchell don't you Billy?

Burns was a great champion, a real superstar who achieved what he set out for but he is on the downward slope now and going down it fast.

Mitchell on the other hand is knocking on the door once again and deserves his shot.

not at all mate and I'm sorry if that seems the case it was just an example, in truth the same could have been said about Ricky before he fought Martinez the difference being he took his chance

Ricky doesn't deserve a shot, simple. Stop talking about the past, Billy.

Ricky isn't even the best in the country anymore.

The last show at Braehead flopped bigtime, moog. I mean you had Limond-Woodhouse, Slowey-Hughes in a Scottish title fight, Brophy and Roberts plus you had the big grudge match between Simmons-Camacho which had been built up for ages. No to mention Burns-Zlaticanin headlining, but it was still a poor turnout.

All those names couldn't attract 5,000. But saying that we've got the new kid on the block Charlie Flynn now and he's the "Golden Boy" who's on the tip of every ones tongue at the minute. I think Flynn's the one who can bring back the big nights to Scotland. He's got the right attitude and he couldn't have a better team around him. Scottish Boxing needs a lift at the minute and hopefully Charlie's the man to deliver it for us :good

He's only had one title shot. If you think he was an undeserving challenger against ricky that's your opinion but at least he had beaten John Murray.

ricky has looked awful in his last 5 fights, 3 of which he should have lost officially, on the other hand mitchell will be on a 6 fight winning streak if he beats Estrada and will definitely deserve a crack more than ricky will at this point in their careers.

If you think a poor performance in your first challenge for a world title means you shouldn't get another go then we'd never have seen Bruno win a title.

I hope he is mate, indeed has a great team around him. Braehead is a nightmare to get to plus with Ricky of menu it would push other guys up peaking order, and fans look at main event, and seen Burns well on slide pretending to be world class. On other hand everyone knows Willie is not world class so they would not feel hoodwinked

Surely the two other main fights will go on the o2 bill the following week, makes plenty of sense
