if you weren't comparing lacy to ko4clev, then how do you figure you are being called a name?

the comment is aimed at those who DO cmpare the two.

My point is that at the time, many many informed people did believe that Lacy would do over Calzaghe. They were proved wrong only after the event. That same risk exists in this debate, only there won't be an "after the event", so the wise man will temper his predictions with the knowledge of that history.

Sometimes when I stop and think about how many people hate my guts and think I a ret ard, I think for a split second maybe, just maybe it is me that's the problem and not everybody else.

Then I think, na, I'm so smart that even if my opinions are stupid and don't make any sense, I must be right to Ill just insult anybody who disagrees with me

We need to see how good Kov is fighting of the backfoot.

'cause that's how it would unfold.

If it's inside the distance, probably Kov wins.

If it goes the distance, Joe has it.

I lean towards Joe in this one.

I think prime Calzaghe would stop Kovalev.
The older Calzaghe, I feel would win a very clear wide decision, not letting Kovalev settle.

Problem is, so many hold it against Calzaghe for being so good and not having a blemish on his career and seem to really be bugged at how he went up a division and beat the champ.

The two closest boxers that Calz fought similar to Kov was Reid and Kessler. Both were competitive, the Reid fight could have gone either way and Calz beat Kessler well but had issues during it. Kov is a superior fighter to both. He is more powerful, stronger, faster and is more active. At 168 then Calz would get the UD, but at Kov's natural weight of 175, then he'd lose. Calz did nothing at LHW apart from a close UD over Bhop and he retired soon after.

    nope

but don't call it "national bias" when calzaghe is from wales, bailey is more than likely to try and discredit you for that :good
