Froch isn't interested in Degale, Groves is the next biggest fight in the division and the one that generates the most ££££££.
Because Degale is most likely going to fight Andre Dirrell for the vacant IBF title. Hearn knows that fight is too hard with not much reward in terms of money and tickets.
They are trying to get Groves vs Degale for the vacant IBF title when Froch vacates it. Too many issues surrounding the Dirrells because they wont travel and the Sauerlands have made their intentions clear that they want to bring the fight to the UK and same for Hearn with the Dirrell fight for Degale.
It would be a big event if it was Degale/Groves for a vacant title. I would probably slightly favour Degale this time . First time I bet on Groves even though I wasnt too sure, but had a feeling Groves would win, but not in the way he did win. Now Groves has suffered two losses and I wonder how that may affect him?
Fast Car looks to be lining up three PPV events in Spring/Summer of next year. Froch/Chavez in March, DeGale/Groves in April and Brook/Khan in June. Not entirely sure the fans will buy into DeGale/Groves if that is the case.
Hearn could sell out a big stadium for Degale vs Groves 2 and make it PPV because he has the casual fans in the palm of his hand. Khan vs Brook is PPV and would sell out Wembley on its own without another big grudge match and something like Degale vs Groves 2 would need its own card and needs to top the bill because Eddie could give it so much build up
Hearn has shafted Degale big time with the Froch situation and is desperately trying to Make up for it. Degale gave up his WBC mandatory as he was promised a shot at Froch for the IBF by signing for matchroom as Eddie no doubt thought he would be able to pursuade Carl against this vegas business so the money/promotion can stay in house in the UK. Obviously Carl to his credit is sticking to his guns which has fcked Hearn and inturn James.
