Kovalev is a strange one style wise...certainly a swarmer/pressure fighter but he also strikes me as a guy who can do the pure boxing, stand at range type of thing as good as anyone in the division...certainly multi-facted fighter

    Round 1

Dirrell is jabbing high into Edwards' cheekbone with the right at long range while turning him. Dirrell is fading back when Edwards comes plowing in with rights on the body. Edwards is mostly just watching, posing, waiting for spots to counter but finding Dirrell to be stingy, just throwing his long right jab and occasional left crosses stepping halfway in but never sacrificing his vantage of safety on the outside. Dirrell pushes down on Edwards' head as he bulls in close. Right at the body from Edwards, coming up very short. Dirrell is darting in and out placing right jabs on Edwards' face. Lunging right and left by Edwards, both arms flying past Dirrell's neck. Clinch.

    10-9 Dirrell

No need for an arguement here, but he cant be that ponderous and slow vs a puncher with more speed. What i do say though is that artur can Knock you out inside, hes a brutal short pucnher, but he aint gonna be able to box kovalev or stevenson from the outside. short reach? Dno, needs to refine his style.

Did I just hear them say Chris Byrd is Dirrell's strength trainer?

That's like having Pauli Maliganni as your power punch trainer. :blood

    Round 2

Dirrell is highly verbal, telling Edwards off as he walks him down with jabs across the brow, peppering in a few left hands. Dirrell is keeping his body turned askew, twitching into a deep backward lean when Edwards pokes or hacks at him. Edwards is facing an impossible deficit in reach. Big problem for him, and that is even without Dirrell's edge in speed and timing. Edwards can't find Dirrell with the right hand diving in. Clinch.

    10-9 Dirrell

    20-18 Dirrell
