Probably the worst version of "getting old overnight" I've ever seen. The guy was a top 5 pound for pound fighter behind the likes of mayweather and Pacquiao and basically has become a shot to **** unranked fighter in an unprecedented short period of time.

Has there ever been anyone worse?

It's a combination of relying on athleticism and reflexes, and getting into boxing late.

    :deal

It's remarkable that he did what he did, for as long as he did considering his late start and style. First ballot HOF.

It happened over a number of years. It wasn't overnight. He lost a lot in the Chavez fight.

Roy Jones was much worse. Supposedly comes off his best career win (without any crazy injuries like Martinez), and starts to get routinely KTFO. I think the weight thing is overblown. He actually won the Tarver fight right after the Ruiz fight, he should have been at his worst in that fight. He had time to recover and got KTFO in 2. Tarver had his number and after that, Roy lost a bit of confidence and his reflexes dependent style meant that any small hesitations were going to be disastrous.

No not really, all who followed Sergio's career knew it would happen. Injuries & his age unfortunately made his prime very short.

Prime & injuryfree Sergio would stop or decision Golovkin. GGG is easy to hit and Sergio would at some point catch him.

Roy jones jr went from beating ruiz for a heavyweight belt, and then beating Tarver at light heavy, to getting brutally stopped twice in a row.... in a little over a year.
To me that has been the biggest and sharpest fall in boxing
