If you think it's impossible that either guy has to what it takes to beat the other then you're an idiot... Floyd seems to have slowed down more than Manny at this point though...

And all I'm saying is if doesn't happen because of a date that Mayweather has held for years--the same date that Pacquiao fought Hatton on in 2009, mind you--the blame is squarely on the shoulders of Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao. To believe, all of a sudden, Arum has a newfound deference for Mexicans and Cinco De Mayo, is idiotic. Just ask Chavez Jr (who is relieved to be with his new "Advisor" Al Haymon) and Mikey Garcia.

Some of you simply hate Floyd and cannot see the forest for the trees. If Pacquioa and Arum come out tonight on HBO and said, "truth is we never really wanted that fight...we really wanted Jesse Vargas at the MGM on May 2", you'd still be proclaiming Floyd is scared or is ducking the fight. Haha. It's hilarious and borderline insanity how deep the hatred is for Floyd, and the way people ignore simple logic in favor of speculation or bs excuses like cuts and outdoor stadiums.

The man comes out on TV and says I want Manny Pacquiao on May 2 (no obscure tweets from Fat Dan or other rumors), and these Pac**** idiots still say..."Mayweather is ducking." Here is a concrete example of theory 'A', you proposed.

It's easy to say the fight will never happen. That's a safe bet. You can see things starting to topple already. But, to say Mayweather didn't try to make it...is a flat out lie.

He will never get the chance.
    Arum wont let it happen.
And if by chance they do fight. Pac is in for a major beating.
No way can he close the distance without walking into straight rights and check hooks.
And if he stays outside he will eat jabs all nite long.
Floyd has much more in the gas tank.
And all of the tools to go with it.

Not only that but if you promote Khan May starting from now, what are the only hinderances? Khan May have historically worked the most with Golden Boy/Haymon. Khan doesn't have a GB contract anymore, neither does May. The only obligation May has is to a hotel chain (MGM) in Las Vegas.

personally I think it will happen in Vegas, but I would LOVE for it to happen in the UK. That would be a CULTURAL event. The country would stop, and it would be huge not only in terms of financial numbers, but that a minority Brit made the biggest event in the country's history. Would be amazing, with the PM, celebrities coming through to the fight.

All those guys weren't really well known to the casual audience.

Ortiz is now i guess... but at the time nobody had heard of him outside of the hardcore boxing fans

Amir Khan is more popular than these guys and more of a name....

So why won't he fight him? He says nobody knows who Khan is....

Nobody knew who those three guys were, either.

It seems like he's ducking Amir Khan even though his fans claim otherwise.

But he's right, Khan isn't that well known.

They had to offer a toy exchange to sell tickets for Khan's fight against Molina.

Ortiz' win over Berto and Maidana's victory over Broner were far more significant than Khan beating Alexander. Khan needs to continue his momentum against better opposition to legitimize his attractiveness.

Having said that, he still may win the Mayweather sweepstakes.
