Algieri did not have a chance to even implement his game plan, because Manny did not gave him a chance. Algieri felt Pacs power and speed and decided that he is going on the defensive to avoid getting hurt or much worst get knocked out. This is the reason that is why he did not bother going out the cage. It would be a different story if he would fight May, because Mayweather is not a pressure fighter and does not hit harder than Pac.

 

The problem is Algieri doesn't fight at range when he should.

He tried to fight in range with Pac, however Pac closest that distance like no other because he is quick and comes at an awkward angle.
