Modern fighters aren't exactly oozing with skill either. Just look at Tyson Fury. Pulev showed terrible defense against Wlad.
How tall/big/jumbo sized were the fighters Wlad got flattened against? 6'3"-6'4" tops? And how big was Foreman, one of the biggest punching, most aggressive heavyweights of all time? That "CAVEMAN" would clobber any heavyweight today.
I tried to explain this to True_Hero earlier in the thread. 8 of the top 11 HW (using the Ring's ratings) are below 6'5". Povetkin - 6'2" Stiverne - 6'2" Pulev - 6'4" Jennings - 6'3" Glazkov - 6'3" Perez - 6'1" Arreola - 6'4" Chagaev - 6'1" Fury/Wlad/Wilder are the outliers, not the norm.
Okay smart guy, here's a simple question for you to show us posters how truly smart you are. Besides the Ali fight, exactly how many fights would you attribute to Foreman losing because he was tired?
You are right, this particular punch will be talked about for generations for it's brilliance and unorthodoxy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdFP-R_LYSM
Too complex? Body shots should be a part of every fighters ars*nal. As should in fighting, instead of clinching someone to death.
If this is your definition of exposed, than by your very own words, Wlad's been exposed numerous times. If Young and Peralta exposed Foreman's stamina then by your definition Puritty and Bewster exposed Wlad's lack of stamina. That is in addition to Sander's and Peter's exposing his chin. So how is that progress in your mind? And if Wlad's fight against Povetkin is progress, I much prefer the "old days" when boxers actually fought their way to victory.
Why the sarcasm? Try reading people's posts. Every pro doesn't fight with millions on the line, and any decent trainer would employ body shots for when they're needed. At some point, every fighter would benefit from throwing a body shot. Just like they would by throwing double hooks and fighting out of a clinch. But I guess today's superior fighters, who've evolved, don't need to do that. Also, it's hilarious reading these posts, where guys who are 6'3, weighing 220 plus pounds, are talked about as though they're LW's.
