stivernes resume is almost as weak as wilders.neither are top five, perhaps even top ten , fighters

Wilder will win if he keeps his hands up, jabs a lot and owns the middle of the ring. Stiverne is la lot less dangerous on the ropes.
Stiverne will win if the fight it goes past 3, Wilder gets comfortable and there is a momentary opening.
Fury will win if these guys knock themselves out simultaneously.

Stiverne beat a top-10 fighter in Arreola. Wilder has no win over a top-50 heavyweight.

This is going to be embarrassing for Wilder. This is Tye Fields v Monte Barrett all over again.

Povetkin cleans out most in top 10....without doubt the most skilled at the moment.

Stiverne lets his hands hang low. Wilder got power + range.

This is a concern..surely knowing how big a bomber Wilder is he won't do this for this fight...I'd be very surprised if he did. I'd have to write him off immediately as stupid.

And of course Stivernes chin...what do we know about that ? He took some good shots off the nipple man so it seems ok...but Chris isn't a devastating puncher. He's no pattercake puncher he's decent but not in the same league as Wilder/Tyson/Lewis etc. And I might be being kind to Wilder there putting his name up with those other 2..but we'll see. Wilders power should be taken seriously...32 KOs 100% KO ratio is something only a fool would ignore. Cans or no cans..he has power! So this is for me a toss up...maybe who lands first. Wilders got the long reach...but if Stiverne can take a few like Gavern seemed to easily be able to do then i'll see Stiverne bombing windmill out...but if not well....

I doubt Wilder has more power than Arreola. Arreola would have 32 (32)-0 too if he fought the same opposition as Wilder.

Wilder is not in the same league as Tyson or Wilder with power. It is overrated. Amir Mansour destroyed Jason Gavern in one, while Wilder couldn't hurt him at all.

^^Indeed!! I hope this ref isn't doing this fight or a ref like that. Stiverne should be given the chance to weather a storm like this as he's the champ. But he can't afford to take too many unanswered shots if Wilder/King have bought their own referee. Sorry I mean brought. ;)

Stiverne might come in with the intentions to keep his hands high. But like a lot of fighters who are supposed to be slick and/or have good head movement. He lets his hands hang. What when he gets tired. He might very well go back to his usual bad habits.

And to me 32 fights 32 KO's he has power. Its serious. Leaving a guy like Liakhovich spasm in the first round like that.

Against Gavern I see it different. He did not throw anything big the first two rounds. Once he started doing so he dropped gavern in the 3rd end it ended by the 4th. Gavern took the fight 6 days notice. So Wilder knew if he would just tire him out in the first two round it would be easier work knocking him out little later.

Also Gavern is his former sparring partner. Having done a lot of sparring with Gavern could have changed the dynamics. He knows the guy after all and he knows him. The rhytm and all. It would not be wise to rush in vs a guy he knows all your moves. That would have been Gaverns only change to win anyway. Trick Wilder early. So I think going into the 4th round before knocking him out was tactics.

Its not like knocking a guy out in the 4th is that bad anyways. Its still the first half of the fight.

    I agree
this is gonna be a massacare

too bad Stiverne has never been motivated to be active
hes 36 years old with 25 fights
he has 6 fights in the last 5 years
a lot more talented than people give him credit for
