Paul Butler or maybe ...Mitchell Smith,Liam Williams, Craig Evans - excellent prospects I think Saunders' and Gavin will be loyal to Frank
Why in the world would Paul Butler leave ******? complete nonsense Frank has already manoeuvred him expertly into a world title an if he can reschedule the Tete fight he could be a to weight champion. Paul is also earning More money then the likes of Jaime McDonnell and Matchrooms other fighters around that weight
Do me a favour mate..'make more outside of the ring'? I don't think Paul's going to be on celebrity wife swap or stickly come dancing mate...he's a blue collar boxer who is already a world champion and is being very well paid and is with the best promoter/channel to continue his success
Yup it's the reason why so many have left him/boxnation - nobody has a clue who you are if you fight on it, ffs Bellew is better known in liverpool than an unbeaten ex world champion. And as for boxnation being the best, now you do me a favour, fighting on a channel that's dying on its ass and only going because of Bill Ives subsiding them isn't a great career move for someone of butlers calibre (fine for the domestic level guys like Gavin/skeete/buglioni etc), frampton has binned off BN because he wants the profile to match his undoubted skills, same will go for butler at some point if he keeps this up
If Butler continues with ******/boxnation he'll have to a get a part time job on the side to support himself
Just checked my sky box...and thankfully BN is still on the listings as it has been for about 3 years and in that time Butler has become a legit World Champion on the channel (you know the belt that was stripped off McDonnell whilst he was with the best promoter in the UK & Sky TV). Bill Ives paying for BN...who gives a fcuk who's paying for it the station is delivering for the fighters and as I said earlier in the thread Butler is earning more money then his counterparts at Matchroom and that is a fact. You want to talk about people who've left ****** recently ok lets look at Ricky Burns forgetting the legal debacle he's gone on record that he was earning less under Matchroom then he was under Warrren...As for Frampton why did he leave sky in the first place?? And where did he become champion and a near household name?? I think you will find that's BN so its not quite the black hole your trying to portray...why are fighters like Fury, CEJ who are already household names not on Sky then if BN is ****te??
Ok frampton, fury and chris eubank jr are not household names at all (at a push frampton in Ireland but not in Britain as a whole) - can only think of two who are definitely out of active boxers (froch and Khan) and the likes of groves are better known by those other three And as for 'earning less' he wasn't getting paid before changing promoters so he's actually earning more. And it does matter if Bill ives is covering their losses - the moment he pulls out/has health issues (he's 70 iirc) the channel is totally screwed
So your basing your argument on BN stability on whether Bill Ives Kicks the bucket next week or pulls out cool.. What happens if Hearn Snr doesn't wake up tomorrow morning would Matchroom fold or would it be part of his estate?? Think it would probably be the latter for both Snr and Ives mate. And Roman Abramovich could dissappear tomorrow with his cash and leave Chelsea in the ****te..it doesn't stop Diego Costa from signing though does it. So tyson fury who has fought on channel 5 for most of his career and chris Eubanks son are not household names..ok but then going back to the original debate you think Paul Butler needs to get on sky sports to get more coverage as if that's going to make a difference to him it's just pure nonsense and a major over exaggeration about the viewing figures for boxing on sky. casual fans who don't really follow boxing are not going to be hooked on a talented (but ordinary personality/background) super Bantamweight its just ridiculous
We have all seen the outcome of the recent Ricky Burns case and been disgusted. We will have a forum celebration when Boxnation goes off the air. :happy
