The whole May 2nd date is up to debate, is Canelo vs Cotto officially signed? If it is, where is it signed for? It's okay to talk about the Mexican holiday, but reality where has it anywhere been officially confirmed Canelo vs Cotto is set for that date? Now Mayweather may well be using the May 2nd date as an excuse to not fight Pac as if Canelo/Cotto is happening the same day how is Roach meant to be in the corner of both Cotto and Pac the same night if fighting in different places? Maywather is about money, if he goes up against Canelo/Cotto on May 2nd, even he isn't stupid enough to think he can get away with it by fighting anyone expect Pacquiao. It be good come say February latest the whole picture is so much clearer and we know who is fighting who and on what date.

Why should we boycot pacquiao fights when he is doing everything to make the fight. What shall pacquiao do?. Travel to las vegas goto mayweathers house and start throwing??

I notice a trend lately where the Mayweather fan base trying to justify there idol blatantly ducking pacquiao by replacing guilt on everyone else then Mayweather.

Boxing fans should ****ing embrace pacquiao. He might be the last fighter left who havent ducked anyone. His 2 week notise fight against a Ledweba who had cleaned out his division should tell you what kind of person pacquiao are. Could you imagine Mayweather do that?????

Only problem with pacquiao is he isn't an African-American fighter if he was he would be jesus christ in US.

Get over you ****ing US racial problems and get to terms with reality. When pacquiao retire thats it. The last of the true fighter warrior generation is gone and will be gone forever.

What boxing is left with is show fighters who will copy the Mayweather plan and drive pro-boxing into its knees. We might aswell merge WWE and pro-boxing because its allmost the same

That's exactly what he did with Algieri :rofl Algieri had no experience against any top lever fighter. Provodnikov is the "boogeyman" to who exactly? Hes a one dimensional punching bag that has been relegated to fighting the ghost of Jose Luis Castillo and is now looking to fight Matthew Hatton  Rios was a cherry pick as he was a LWW coming of a LOSS to the great Mike Alvarado. :rofl:rofl:rofl

    :hi:

Pacquiao is hardly doing "everything to make the fight". That's a steaming pile of BS.

Him and Floyd are both a-holes.

Pac should be demanding that he will fight Floyd anywhere, any place, any time INCLUDING May 2.

And Floyd should be saying the same.

Instead, Floyd is throwing up preventive road blocks, Arum is engaging in the same tired battle of egos with Floyd, and Pacquiao isn't doing anything to shut Bob up.

Yes, Yes same old replacement of guilt. Very convenient to blame Arum right because to hard to come to terms with there is only 1 party who dont want this fight.

Go over the facts of the last 5 years and come back to me.

It's up to his promoter so let's take a look at what he has had to say over the years about the fight.

"Even a 50/50 split with Mayweather is nonsense." - 5/31/09

"Mayweather knows Manny's phobia for giving blood, and he's using that to get out of the fight." - 12/23/09

"He [Pacquiao] doesn't want to do it [give blood] when he's in training, but he'll do it prior to going into training, and after the fight." - 12/23/09

"He will subject himself to three tests; one given in January during the week the fight is formally announced, one thirty days from the fight, no later than February 13, and the final one immediately following the fight, in Manny's locker room." - 12/23/09

"We'd only do it [testing] with the Nevada Athletic Commission. But for now, Manny has asked me to move on to Malignaggi." - 12/25/09

"They made the 14 day offer and Todd sent a text message to (Pacquiao's agent) Michael Koncz in the Philippines. Five minutes later, Koncz replied and said Manny rejected that." - 01/08/10 :deal:

"The nurses sometimes can't find the vein. They keep poking and poking and poking and by the time they get the blood out, you can't move your arm for 3 days or 4 days." - 01/21/10

"If we decide we want to do a rematch with Marquez, there is no reason to sit down with Mayweather." - 11/14/11 :

"Manny needs time for that eye cut [from the Nov. 12 Marquez III bout] to heal properly." - 11/29/11

"May 5 is out for us, it can't happen, because we want to explore the idea of getting a [temporary] stadium/arena up on the streets of Las Vegas that can seat 40,000." - 01/06/12 :

"In order to maximize revenues from the fight, you have to have a stadium larger than the MGM Grand which holds 16,500." - 01/11/12

    - Bob Arum

I don't understand how pactrolls see this as a road block. It was never a problem before. De la hoya and canelo both already said they would move the date if this fight happened.

End thread, this shouldn't even be a discussion point. We are seeing the same "we need a larger stadium" act.

Arum gets called on his bluff and now he comes up with some stupid excuse claiming he cares for Mexicans and his dumb trolls defend him.

Poor pac, I'm sure he is ready for this fight but he has a selfish promoter.

If Pac were an African-American, he wouldn't be Jesus Christ.

In fact, he'd be getting KILLED by American media for his ego (self-aggrandizing movies, albums and political career) and faux humility/'good guy' image.

His gambling, out-of-control lifestyle, entourage size, financial troubles and baby-mama drama would be used as an indictment on 'Black pathology' just like every other Black athlete.

He'd basically get the Mayweather treatment.

So if Pacquiao is really doing "everything to make the fight" - why isn't he out there saying "anywhere, anyplace, anytime, and ANY DATE - including May 2 if that's what it takes"?
