If Floyd had fought and beaten Pacquiao in 2009-2010, all memories of him ducking Margarito and Martinez would have been wiped out. His legacy would have been boosted significantly by the win and no one would have criticized Guerrero/Ortiz/Maidana.

So you think he destroys mayweather but you were supposedly worried pac would lose to Algieri. So you think Algieri is better than floyd? Jesus Christ

Everyone in the world knows that the Margarito fight was pretty much a TKO. Ref was incompetent, so Margarito had a permanent injury.

Algieri was also pretty much TKO'd.

Tko is not the same as ktfo. What jmm did to pacquiao was a ktfo. Understand the difference?

Aside from Hatton, who has PAC KTFO in recent years? I won't hold my breath on this one.

If anything PAC would get ktfo lol. He's shown that it can happen if he gets timed.

Yea mayweather by tko (cut) or mayweather by ud. Glad you agree.

After mayweather 12-0 jmm pacquiao told bob to not make the fight and ever since has had night terrors of mayweather embarassing him.

IF he fought and beat Pacquiao, boxing_master would blame the random blood testing.

On a serious note, it'd be a great feat but excuses would still follow the Marquez victory and there'd just be a smaller amount of haters.

It would have been a 50/50 fight. The Pac hype was at its peak. So, Floyd would get credit for that one. The ease at which he'd beat Marquez, though, would garner criticisms of him picking on small men...and even tarnish the win against Pac. There would be outcries for him to fight Mosely, whom he'd beat handily, after a 2nd rd scare. And afterward, it will be said that Mosely was too old...ancient even.

So, he'd fight two young guys (Ortiz and Guerrero) in a row, who had just passed their biggest tests at WW, and people will say they were both bums. So, then he will move up and beat a rejuvenated Cotto, while looking a bit more vulnerable than usual. And people will say he doesn't move the same. Then he will fight the so called best fighter at 154 (@ a C/W of 152) and show the fleet of foot of a 10 year old boy, and people will say that extra pound almost killed Canelo, Canelo was green, his Superman curl was in his eyes, blocking his vision, etc.

Then he will fight Maidana, who just beat up one of the more talented and hyped young fighters of recent times (Broner), coming off a string of wins, and looking great under Garcia. Maidana gives Floyd, in gloves handpicked by Floyd (yet more than adequate), one of his roughest fights in years. And people will say Floyd lost. So, he immediately rematches him to remove all doubt (and because its the easiest fight to make), and Kenny Bayless reputation hits an all time low for doing what Kenny Bayless always does...break up every clinch endlessly. So Floyd then is accused of having Bayless in his pocket, the judges in his pocket, VEGAS in his pocket.

Then he runs from GGG and ducks the dangerous, vicious Amir "King" Khan, fighting bums like Thurman and Brook instead. Finally, he returns for a 50th fight against Paulie Malignaggi, to end a great, albeit controversial, 50 fight career...50 wins 0 losses 0 draws. TBE.
