Floyd Mayweather vs. Amir Khan speculation & discussion

Yeah I think Canelo did get a $5million guarantee which rose to around $12million due to the PPV doing well. If Eddie Hearn is offering a guarantee of £6-8 million then that is a lot more than what he would get against Mayweather in my opinion.

 

Exactly even Groves got over £1.5 million which is about $3million US and Froch got about 4 times that at roughly £5.5 million or $11million US. So Khan would have to make more vs. Brook than he would against Mayweather, it is rocket science. Showtime is already making a loss due to Mayweather's ridiculous wage demands, they won't be wanting to pay Khan purses that high.

Definitley, 100% certain he would not be making 5 fold against Mayweather.

 

People are saying look at his career earning etc but wait there, IF he actually believes he will beat Brook surely that will put him in a better position to get a fight with Mayweather which seems very unlikely at the minute.

Some people in this thread are talking about it like he has a choice between the two. No he doesn't one choice is fight Kell Brook, the other is fight someone like Bradley or Marquez in a non-title fight probably held in America.

 

Khan is a joke his handlers have always protected him from the best.

Even at british domestic level he ducked the british title and european title cause they were scared ****less he'd get battered by Thaxton, Murray, and Romanov. remember the Willie Limond fight should have been a KO loss - fraud slow count.. .

I could more or less agree with this post in all fairness. It does not change the fact he is massively over rated at the minute though.

 

Lots of scenarios , He beats Floyd he writes his own cheques , he loses to Brook forget the Floyd fight .
The reality is Floyd does'nt fight him , anyway .. or Floyd says he will fight him , but Khan demands 50-50 , and comes down to 60-40 , citing he is just has much a draw has Floyd ,, in fact he says he's a bigger draw , cos every village in ****stan and India love him. So Floyd says Fack ya and fights Porter instead .

Book in the meantime , fights and losses his title , claims he's not recovered from his leg injury , Khan says the fight is'nt worth the risk , so declares that Brook will never happen , because Brook is'nt a draw and not worth it

Khan then runs someone else over, while watching porn on the Ipod whilst driving 60 mph on the m62 , he gets sent to jail .

i can remember the overall ratings, I thik Boxing Monthly are probably the best at rankings and and there's no way Maidana was top 5 :deal he'd just lost to Kotelnik who wasn't even top 5 so theres no way he would be up there unless the rankings were completely biased.

The funny thing is The light welterweight division was weak as **** at the time when Khan was there and he still didn't fight the best!!

If khan had been in any other division than the weakest division in boxing .. he would NEVER have picked up a world title ( paper) - FACT :deal

 

Floyd and manny is happening in may so it's a moot point

 

For a while I have always hated on Khan, and never gave this guy his credit, but after re-watching him dismantle Alexander I'm starting to have doubts on how Floyd can deal with Khan. Even if Floyd times Khan, I don't think he has the power to get him out of there. The only way I see a 37 year old Mayweather winning is by a decision, and I'd love to see how the best of our generations deals with a lanky, and fast guy at age 37. A prime Mayweather would have beat Khan no doubt easily, but at age 37 I wouldn't mind him taking this fight next since it's clear Bap doesn't want pac to fight Floyd. Beating Khan should cement him furthermore as a top 10 atg if he wins this one.

He'd pretend he knows...but really he doesn't...he knows he'd have to adjust and find a way to land shots which are hard to find

instead he will fight D.Garcia and piggyback off Garcia's victory over Khan LOL!
