It's always interesting to know people's favourite boxers and the reasons for it. Here is mine. James J Braddock Braddock was a good solid boxer in the 1920-30's and would fight anyone in front of him. He was a solid puncher but not all that skillful. There was better tactical fighter of the day. The thing I like most about Braddock is during the depression of those years he boxed not for himself and the titles that were on offer in the light heavy and heavyweight division but for money to look after his family. He lost many fights in his career and broke his hand several times and was told that he was finished in boxing. He managed to get a match again Corn Griffin that he was supposed to lose but actually beat Griffin. He eventually went on to face Max Bear for the world title and won on point. I will give more info later on Braddack as his story is amazing. A true family man who used to poverty his family was living in to gain the upper hand in his fights. Check out the Cinderella Man movie with Russell Crowe as Braddock.

Fernando Vargas I like his fighting style.... good boxer puncher with heavy hands who at his best fought skillfully until he found something he could exploit and then would viciously go for the kill. Endless and almost inhuman heart and determination, about as pure a warrior as you can get... Was a street kid on the streets of oxnard that channeled his anger and fire into boxing and became a multiple world champion. The youngest jr middle champ in history at the time and gave boxing fans some epic battles and historic fights in his clashes with quartey, wright, trinidad and oscar.
Sadly Hasim Rahman is my favorite...it's embarassing to say because he was cold on more occasions than he was in beast mode
Floyd Mayweather In the ring: pure genius Outside of the ring: polarizing, he's learned to harness the hate and make millions. Just like my favorite rapper, Eminem. Clever guys. Danny Garcia In the ring: Gives it his all, no quit in this guy. He's defied the odds again and again. Outside of the ring: Humble (I'm afraid that might change), no **** talk, seems like someone I'd kick it with. Guillermo Rigondauex In the ring: a thing of beauty Outside the ring: He's talking **** now and calling people out, so what's not to like? Gennedy Golovkin In the ring: Complete monster. Good boxing skills, great power. Excitement. Outside the ring: Complete nice guy, humble. I also like Manny Pacquiao, Keith Thurman, Abner Mares, Terrence Crawford, Sergey Kovalev, Andre Ward, Benard Hopkins, Lucas Matthysse... I feel like I'm forgetting someone. All time, I only got a few... Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Roy Jones Jr.

I like Floyd, I don't "love" Floyd. YOU know the difference. Nothing wrong with being a fan of someone, but you go beyond that.
