It is a shame that Randall Bailey isn't getting a fight.

He is getting older and he deserves a fight at welter. He has earned it. He brings excitement. Knocked down Urango before he himself lost. At welter he has breathed new life into his career. He was clearly beating down Ouali before the incident
    http://fisticmystic.wordpress.com/2010/12/15/randall-bailey-explains-the-ouali-incident/
Destroyed Bonsu in one round. Destroyed Figureroa and I felt he beat Ngoudjo. Stopped by Cotto and Hurtado and lost to Ishe Smith but it was only by one point on one card.

But the point is the guy on a bit of a steak at welter and now he has to sit on his ass because Zaveck can make more money fighting Berto? I despise this stuff. I suppose he is getting paid I would like to see the man fight, if not Zaveck then someone.

When this guy lands he can smash someone up to bits. Slow and old and his legs go rubber when he gets dominated but damn it he is exciting.

    LET THE MAN FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bailey is awesome. He's got Jackson-esque "shut you off" punching power.

Makes it hard for him to get a name fight though unfortunately.

Well since this thread we had the epic comeback KO of Mike Jones....

Give me more Randall Bailey as the B side. Yes he can look lethargic yes he can get stopped yes he is slow but BOY CAN HE PUNCH YOUR LIGHTS OUT.

Who manages this guy and what is going on with him? I believe at the moment he is a free agent??

The perfect fight for him would be Danny Garcia moving up to 147 but that will never happen.

Sure he got easily outpointed by Alexander but this is very typical of Alexander to do, he did it to Meidana as well. The KO's of Jones, Bonsu and Figeuroa were entertaining. He had Urango in trouble before getting stopped and the Njdoujo loss had controversy.

He had some other great Ko's earlier in his career, yes he is ancient at this point, but he definitely deserves to be on TV with that power.

With such low reward to fight him and such high risk because of the power its probably very tough for him to get a fight. The networks should step in.

Every time I think of a fighter I would like to see him against, I think to myself, if I am that fighter, why would I want to take the risk. Another example would be Bam Bam Rios. I would love to see that fight at 47 but its pointless for Rios.

So really, the best option for Bailey is ESPN2 vs an up and comer, someone still unheralded enough that they would take the risk.

If he can take out one or two of those types of guys he can launch himself back into another eliminator fight possibly.

It sucks that boxing politics work to keep such an potentially entertaining fighter completely invisible.

And what happened to the Frederick Lawson fight in June of this year? Did Lawson back out? He ended up fighting someone else and Bailey fought nobody.

Bailey should be fighting. I know he can look like **** against the wrong guys, he is slow and old, but that POWER!! Those knock outs!! It is BULL**** we don't get to see this guy at welter.

    Yes!!!!

Bailey takes aim at TV fight against Santana

Does “The Knock-Out King” still have it? Looks like power-punching former two-division world champion Randall Bailey (44-8, 37 KOs) will be stepping in against Francisco Santana (21-3-1, 10 KOs) on January 9 at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California. After not being able to line up a fight in all of 2014, the dangerous 40-year-old Bailey would be making his first start since November 2013.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Santana has won nine in a row, including a victory over previously unbeaten Eddie Gomez. He was originally slated to face Sebastian Lujan. ESPN2 will televise.

He looked horrible against Alexander. He can punch. The way he caught Mike Jones was just nasty. But, he's a one trick pony. He gets schooled by the top guys at Welter.
