I'm sorry you suckered me in to watching your youtube prediction, I feel I lost some boxing knowledge , thanks... here is what I gathered, this video proves only one thing, you don't understand this sport, I wont argue who should have won the canelo lara fight but your only argument for why lara won was canelo ONLY landed body shots so how did he win ??? WTF, do you think a clean head shot is scored heavily over a clean body shot ? I'm confused by this argument, head shots are more pleasing to the fans eyes but body shots for the most part are more impactful than head shots. ohh well, to each their own,,
Canelo has the style of easily beating the Angulos, Kirklands, Clotteys. Maidanas, etc. He doesn't wait for them to hit. He has fast and heavy hands his punches hit first and disrupt the opponent. There is no way he is going to get walked down by Kirkland or Maidana if he moves up Canelo has underrated hand speed head movement and defense. He easily outboxes brawler plus his heavy hands makes brawlers timid. Canelo can box too but he lacks foot movement that is why he struggled with Trout, Lara, and Floyd Anyone notice how he makes fighters fight diffently Like how he made Mosley and Angulo timid in hitting Or how he made Trout and Floyd to throw a bunch of soft jabs Or how he made Lara run around Because he hits hard
wow, the naked eye of the casual fans.. you really think canelo gassed ? or could it possibly be the open scoring had canelo so far ahead he had the fight won unless he lost all the remaining rounds and got KD or he waxs tko'd. I find that much more plausible than he gassed in a fight he was winning easily and the scoring had him winning even easier than it looked
I was pretty much saying bodyshots are usually thrown to slow a guy down to maybe force a stoppage late or to open shots to the head neither in which canelo done and the shots canelo was landing were hardly round stealers to Lara's punches that were knocking the head back of canelo
Yepp you definitely have a fight won after 7 rounds right ? And you just start to drop your hands and sit on the ropes taking unecessary shots where if you wasn't gassed you would roll the shots or pivot out from the ropes
it was opening scoring, remember. canelo had a 10/8 round 7 the scores we read after the 8th and without any KD's of canelo he could not lose, losing the last 4 by 10/9's wouldn't have gotten trout the W so yes after that 10/8 round it was over, trout couldn't hurt canelo so he coasted to the easy W. gassing is much different than coasting in a match you know you are up more points than rounds remaining. ummm, maybe I have to review the last 4 rounds again. I don't rermember canelo sitting on the ropes taking punishment like that. you make it sound like he was defenseless on the ropes getting teed off on, I find that very hard to believe but I'll review the last qtr of the fight just in case my memory of said fight had been puzzled
Rumors are becoming even stronger that Mayweather is trying to secure Cotto for a rematch on May 2. If they do a rematch, likely at a catchweight of 154.5 or 155, it would give Mayweather the chance to become the only fighter in history to hold three WBC world titles in three weight divisions at the same time. For Cotto, a chance at revenge with trainer Freddie Roach in his corner. In facing Cotto again, Mayweather would also gain the May 2 date and fight a dangerous opponent who actually has a shot to win. :verysad
Cotto better be using this as a negotiation tool. Freddie might be pushing for Cotto-Mayweather to ensure he gets a crack a Mayweather. This all sucks.
This should not be at 160, should be at 154 or 155-157. Floyd is not big enough for 160. It would be so stupid...
Lineal champ at 3 weights while 2 were at catch weights? I remember when Pacquiao was crucified for this
