Do you guys believe Canelo when he says he'll take a fight with GGG?

    People act like GGG is some kind of god. Plenty of guys would outbox him and personally I give canelo good odds against him.

    Anybody with half a brain can look at GGG's style, length and power compared to Canelo and know that GGG will destroy his ass. I don't see nothing in Canelo's skill set that could make me believe otherwise. GGG is just a total all around better fighter.

    this! i cant believe people are hating on him at all he is young as hell, and ducked absolutely no one.. actually his team have stepped in telling him who not to face and who is to dangerous and he ran towards them against his promoters wishes


    and people still hate this guy! ? :scaredas: especially in this day and age when every 2nd topic on the front page is "x ducked y"

    Who has canelo ever ducked?? everyone said he wouldnt fight Trout, Mayweather, or Lara. He took them all on. A fan friendly (and good style matchup) GGG who is being promoted hard by HBO makes perfect sense.

    No reason to doubt Canelo's word anymore.

    I think Canelo would fight GGG. ODLH would probably advise against it, imo.
    Canelo already has a loss on his record and fought against a tough fighter and style match up in Lara. He's not exactly a safety first type of fighter.
    I got more faith in Canelo fighting GGG than Cotto fighting him.

    I think so. Giving Canelo's track record of taking risky opponents I'd say yes but as you said the fight probably would be at a c/w which is ok if its NOT for a MW title. Canelo took Lara who didn't bring nothing to the table but risk. Golovkin is becoming a big boxing name and a fight with him would make any sense.:good

    I've got no reason to doubt Canelo. GBP didn't want him to face Trout or Lara but he made it happen and GGG not only brings more to the table but would provide a much more fan-friendly fight.

    There is a reason to doubt Canelo. HBO have just signed him on a long term contract. They already control Golovkin. It's far too early in the contracts to set their cash cows upon each other.
