You really are not familiar with the division

    Edit -
Collins beat undefeated Eubank, one of the best if not possibly the best SMW victory ever, and then beat Eubank in a return, he also twice beat Benn, so he scored very good victories, but just wasnt around for a long time. Thats nothing to laugh about. I would rate that above any current SMW today

its not the one incident, its every time joe was claiming he was lined up to face someone good. The only exception was Kessler (even injured Kessler was a stepup from joes usual fodder).

We should have a rule or something to avoid newbiess from opening threads. 3 months or less - not premitted to open topics.. Forum will be clean that way.. How many Joe Calzaghe threads man? Seriously.. Irritating..

You didn't read your article either then, it points to a "mooted clash". The lesson here is you should read, and not juust believe YOUR OWN lies. The article doesn't support your lie at all - it reads "should there mooted clash take place" Mooted means its a purely academic suggestion, in case you don't know.

Advertising is all good for selling ticket, but Echols hadn't signed.

Echols never signed to fight Joe in this universe. It was likely joes intention to replace his claim to echols with a pudwill type all along, certainly something much lesser than the (former?) NABF/USA title something champ.

which part of echols never signing don't you understand?

How can you lol at dudes saying Ottke for a top 5. He never lost and was IBF and WBA champion. He beat Byron Mitchell, who incidentally Calzaghe knocked out in 2 rounds, and Robin Reid which was very debatable, not forgetting a good win over a prime Johnson. Although his resume isn't the best he still retired undefeated. A big problem he had was that he only ever fought outside of Germany once and that was in Vienna. I wasn't ever a big fan of his but you can't take away what he done.

on paper hes top 2 easy.

but most people know he'd lost the title several times during that reign, so its hardly a credible record. top ten is more accurate. which is still not bad.

Just stating the obvious record of the greatest super middleweight boxer of all time.

If it annoys you so much don't comment on the threads and just ignore them.

if you break up his record to include the actual losses, in my estimation hes a three time titlist, who lost after a few defences each time (which makes the assumption that he would be able to get up like Arthur Abraham and come back to win a title again - he might not have had that inclination/ability).

What I feel he gains marks for are longevity and persistence in that respect, to balance out the lack of actual ability to keep a title for long. He basically is the proto-Arthur Abraham of SMW in terms of how his career would have panned out, win, defend defend, lose, win another title, defend defend defend lose etc etc.

That is your opinion. And my opinion is that newbies like you should not be given privilege to open threads.. Who knows if you are a troll or a legit poster..

I see it like, you brits are using few on your highly achieved men and discussing about them to death.. After some point it gets boring.. Too many Joe threads floating.. Daily new threads of him like he fought during this weekend..

Don't live in the past glory.. that’s all I can say.

Yes, I agree, Joe is one of the Greatest super middleweight of all time if not the THE Greatest super middleweight of all time..

But dont over do it mates.. It makes you people look desperate to live in your past glory..

First off, I am NOT a troll. I enjoy the debate sites like this gives with people all over the world.

Second, as I stated before YOU do not have to read the thread or its contents if it is a topic you don't like.:patsch

Third, why are you still commenting on a thread if it is of no interest to you.

It's looking likely that you are the troll, MATE

This is a boxing forum and people are entitled to start threads and comment on what they like.

And just for your information 'Worthfuly' is not a word.
